I randomly found this site and thought I would have a look.
I want/need to lose weight. I'm not exactly sure how much I need to lose but I definitely want to lose at least 4 stones. Right now I really want to do it for me, but at the same time dont want to tell friends n family I'm trying to lose weight. I'm sick of people watching what I eat or do and commenting on it. The probably mean well but I HATE it.
I would love to maybe use this to get help etc and share experiences basically support each other, because if you're reading this your probably already started on the "weight loss journey" (sorry, I know it sounds cheesy!") or like me your just starting.
Hi, I just wanted to say welcome. It's always difficult with telling other people, isn't it? Do what works for you whether it's telling a select few or no-one at all. They will notice sooner or later, though!
The UK part of this forum is a little quiet but usually the most posts are made in the monthly threads, where people set mini-goals for that period. So once the September one is up and running, that might be of interest to you possibly.
hi and welcome ,i am new too so your welcome to add me as a buddy or on msn and we can cheer each other on lol i think the best way to look at it or explain it to friends is by thinking of your weightloss as getting healthy rather than dieting. like me you will probably have to make quite severe long term changes all round. it is early days for me and can be sooo hard at times i could cry but the rewards more than make up for it ..i am feeling in control of my weight for the first time in over 10 years and it is such a power trip!! good luck xx
I'm new too, just stumbled across the site this and have been reading it for hours! I'm getting married in a year's time and the panic has really set in that I need to lose weight. Have done every diet going but am back to good old calorie counting and exercise Looking forward to posting and talking to other people in the same boat
Hi Aly and Blodwen You will be glad that you came here there is tons of support. At the moment its just hopeful and I on the september weightloss thread but you are more than welcome to join us. I usually post every day when possible and say whats happening in my day good or bad. I weigh in on fridays. hopeful weighs in on mondays. Just do what you like.
