The most important advice I have is to start learning to love yourself or at least like. Weight loss is hard and harder to maintain so why would you put in that much effort when you don't like you?
As far as specifics, find something that you can do the rest of your life, think long term. If you are tempted to try something that will work fast remember that it won't last, we have to be able to do it 10 years from now or it's a lot of work to just gain it back.
