Default No-Weigh-In Meeting?

Anyone ever gone to a meeting and not weighed in? Will they let me? I see in my gold handbook a page about "show this to your leader if you want a no-weigh pass" - is that what it means?

I am asking because I am wearing a very heavy cast on one leg/foot for tendonitis. I can't take it off except to shower and it's really a pain to do so anyway (I wouldn't want to try taking it off and on at the meeting location). I know this thing weighs at least five pounds. So I wondered if they'll let me come to the meeting without weighing in this week. I will be able to take it off more often in the coming weeks.
Or should I go with a huge gain this week and then a confidence boosting huge loss in a week or two?

Yep, you don't have to weigh in this week if you use that pass.
