Default Motivational Music

One of the most motivational things for me to get moving is music. Music really gets me moving and makes me extremely happy. My tastes are very diverse and I am open to most genres. I am looking for new music to add to the ipod to really get me motivated to exercise so tell me what your most motivational song is when you exercise. What really gets you going and pushes you to do more?

The most truly motivational ones I have are (some repeats!),

Fighter - Christina Aguilara
Lose Yourself - Eminem
Goin' the Distance - Rocky Soundtrack

This one might sound funny, but Now or Never off the High School Musical 3 soundtrack -- that one gets me going like crazy! hahaha Yes, I have a tween daughter

My favorite running playlist:

American Boy by Estelle feat. Kanye West
Baby Got Back by Sir Mix A Lot
Bad Romance by Lady GaGa
Blah Blah Blah by Ke$ha
Boom Boom Pow by Black Eyed Peas
Drop It Like It's Hot by Snoop Dogg
If U Seek Amy by Britney Spears
Toxic by Britney Spears
Imma Be by Black Eyed Peas
The One by Mary J. Blige
Work It by Missy Elliot (or anything by Missy Elliot!)
Yeah! by Usher
OMG by Usher feat. Will.I.Am
You're a Jerk by New Boyz
This is Why I'm Hot by Mims
Show Stopper by Danity Kane
Should've Said No by Taylor Swift
Like a Boy by Ciara
It's Like That by Mariah Carey
Rapper's Delight by The Sugarhill Gang
It Takes Two by Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock

I realize my taste in music makes a lot of 30-something year olds cringe.

Actually, 1bighog, most of our music overlaps - we have a lot of the same choices. Love it!

You think YOUR taste in music is weird!?

All I listen to is 70s and 80s country and 80s heavy metal!!!

Willie Nelson
Kenny Rogers
Garth Brooks
Waylon Jennings
Johnny Cash (you GOTTA have the Man in Black!!!)
Conway Twitty
Keith Whitley
Shania Twain
Terri Clark
Alan Jackson
Toby Keith
Clint Black
George Strait

Queensryche
Megadeth
Poison
Def Leppard
Motley Crue
Skid Row (with Sebastian Bach, of course!)
Guns n Roses (old school GnR, with Slash and Duff McKagan)
Type O Negative (RIP Peter Steele)
The Bangkok Five (punk metal from Hollywood)
Green Day
The Cult
AC/DC
Slaughter

And every now and then there's a little Backstreet Boys or Salt n' Pepa... And if I'm REALLY feeling old school, it's Run DMC, Tone Loc and Young MC!

MisfitRycher, when I'm in the mood, I love me some 80s big hair rock! I don't know how well it would work for running though. Hrm...
