Default iPod armband or clip?

I've just started teaching myself how to run on the treadmill and I'm finding having my headphones in and my phone on the treadmill (on the weird little book holding shelf) itself not very safe. I almost smacked it down but managed to catch it while running, I don't want to have to worry about that.

http://www.thesource.ca/estore/produ...roduct=1401241 I was looking at this as a possible solution as I have a iPod nano that I could use for work outs. I'm worried about possible arm chafing or it being uncomfortable.

I was also thinking some soft of clip would be good, something that I could attatch to my sweats easily but stays on.

What do you guys think?

I love running with my Nike armband, but you're right that it could cause chafing if you don't find a good fit. Maybe read some reviews on Amazon to find one people agree works well for them?

I ordered one on Amazon with an adjustable armband and haven't had any problems with chaffing. I love the thing!

I swear by Belkin. My Belkin arm band for my Itouch is made of this great, kind of soft material, and it is adjustable. My arm is pretty big, and it fits no problem. So far I haven't found a reason to switch.

BTW, you can get Belkin at Wal Mart, so it isn't hard to find or anything. Mine was around nineteen bucks.

I actually ended up getting a Belkin one and I really like it. The Source that I went to didn't have much selection, but this is great! I am very happy with it, it was comfortable and made running almost funner cus I wasn't worrying about knocking anything down with my flailing arms, haha.

The guy also suggested I get those headphones that have the part that hangs over your ears, but that was a mistake. I have freakishly tiny ears and those things stick above and back far from my ears. Oh well, guess I only found one great buy today

Armbands work for a lot of people, but if you're planning to run outside you might consider the tanlines you'd get.

I've run with several different MP3 players that clip to your waistband (or wherever else), but I can't imagine trying that with anything as big as an phone.

Was going to suggest armband I got at walmart for a couple of bucks...it says "sportsline" on it, but for some reason I think it was a Belkin? Anyway, it breaths, comfy...and most important CHEAP! I LOVE IT!

I just bought headphones with a long enough cord to stay out of my way
