I am just starting out on 3FC. I joined 2 years ago(which I don't even remember) but never really got involved. I'm 19 & have been "there & back again" with eating disorders & distorted body image. My mom was bulimic for 40+ years & my dad & 3 brothers are always dieting/talking about food/body. I'm always labeled as the only one with issues(probably because I'm the only one able to admit it) & I want to change. I may not have much(or any...in some eyes) weight to lose, but I definitely think I need support. I want people to talk about this with, so that I can get a healthier body-image, a better relationship with food, & be ready to take on the position of good role model for the rest of my family. It doesn't matter how much you have to lose...it's all about you and your body image. You will find lots of support here...the members have been great!!!
Thanks! I always kind of felt silly joining a weight loss support group, considering I'm already at a healthy weight. But knowing I can get support here...well, it feels great.
Welcome. I suggest you look for a support group or challenge to join; a small group of friends to help keep you motivated. Find one you like that fits your needs, or inspires you, and just post to join.
