Default New here and looking for a change~

I'm new to the site, and quite pleased that there's a 300+ Club here~ I'm 17 and have been struggling on and off with my weight for some time now. As well as meeting others in my age rage, I'll be very happy to meet others in my weight range as well (and both together is even better~). I hope to get the support and encouragement and motivation I need to change my life and to be able to smile into the mirror for once in my life at some point. Nice to meet you all.

-Lyn

Hi Lyn, and welcome!

I certainly can relate to how you're feeling. I was way too heavy when I was a teenager but I am tall so I always wore it pretty well.

Even being in my 20's now I have only gotten bigger. I am on my journey to take control of and reclaim my life back!

I deserve to be happy and to enjoy life, and I am tired of letting overeating, lack of exercise, laziness, etc. dictate the quality of my life.

You can do it Lyn! Have you set any goals for yourself?

Hi, and thanks~

Goals right now. . . well, currently it's to just find something that works and be able to stick with it. And as for actual weight, getting down to 300 lbs would be a nice start. xD For some time now I've been nothing but a couch potato, and attempts at changing that in the past have ended up slipping to a bust and I fell off trail. But I don't want that to happen this time.

I'm not sure how safe your area is, but something that works for me is putting my earbuds in my ear and listening to music while I take a brisk walk, in the evening. Just as the sun is setting so that it's not so hot but there is still some light in the day. Walking to 3-5 songs could be a great start!

Do you enjoy sports (such as swimming, etc) or have any hobbies?

Temple: That doesn't actually sound half bad~ My area is a pretty safe one, far as I've seen, and there's only friendly people in my neighborhood. :3

tryhard: Thanks. I will.

azcyn: Thanks. xD I'm really glad to find a place like this. Support is a big thing I need. And I live in Littleton actually~ I wish I lived closer to the mountains though. The only time I've passed through them is driving to Las Vegas. lol xD

The encouragement and accountability you can find here with this group of ladies will help tremendously! ... I have a brother that lives in Littleton.
