Default Funny Funny NSV-My pants fell down!

So, in December I "grew out" of my size 22 pants and upgraded to size 24's, spending a pretty penny to have enough clothes to wear to work. I am pretty poor at the moment and am not buying all new clothes until I lose a bit more weight. I have been relying on my belt to hold my pants up until I can afford to buy some inexpensive stuff in my size. I have only lost a little more than 20 lbs but lately I seem to be getting smaller without the scale showing it.

Yesterday, I was packing stuff from my car into my office, a box that required two hands...Okay, better back up. I couldn't find my darn belt yesterday morning, so I wore my size 24 jeans without. I have been pulling them in smaller and smaller for awhile now and hadn't realized how big they had gotten. I was carrying in the box, across the parking lot when my pants started to slip, a few more steps, slip slip slip, they were way down like lowriders by then (Lookin' like a fool with your pants on the ground!!)

I only had a few more steps to the door when they came off my hips completely and were headed south. I was going to lose my pants right in front of an office full of co-workers!! I quickly put the box down and caught my pants just in time. I pulled them up as far as I could and then retrieved the box. I temporarily solved the issue with a bit of string once inside. I tied the string to two belt loops and snugged them up that way. Ha ha!

I am headed to a local thrift store today to pick up some "new" pants in the interim. That was too call for comfort especially when it was in public!! EEk!

I love it! I have a few pairs that are too big on me now, and I bought a new pair a few weeks ago and they're already getting loose. My pants budget can't keep up with my waistline!!!

What a great NSV! I am glad that you caught them. You certainly have evidence that you are succeeding! Hope you find something great and cheap at the thrift store.

Hahaha. I love this!!! I can't wait for my work pants to fall down They're getting close!

Just goes to show the scale is only a tool on weight loss progression and it certainly doesn't mean everything!! Congrats on losing your pants!

Glad to hear you're going to treat yourself to some "new" pants! You will look like you've dropped 10 lbs just by wearing something that fits.

I need to head to the thrift store myself. I need pretty much new everything! But I really want some smaller t-shirts to wear to the gym. My XL's look like pajamas shirts on me now and I think they make me hotter.

Bless your heart, dear. Go get a well deserved new pair of pants! So glad to hear that managed to save them. For now, I have a closet full of pants that I outgrew on the way up, but in another size I'll be in your shoes and may be tempted to wear pants longer than I should. I'll remember how important the belt is! Glad to hear of your success!!

Too funny!

Better having them fall down than bending over and hearing " RRRRIIIIPPPPPPPP . . . ."

I'm down another size in shorts and I spent a pretty penny at Lane Bryant for them. I've been throwing them in the dryer. Next move . . . let's see if I remember how to take in a pair of pants!
