Default Wait?! When did this happen?!

I started at 204 lbs. Through hard work and dedication I came within 10 lbs of my goal weight. I measured, counted, journaled and worked out down to 145 lbs...

Then something happened. I'm still not 100% sure WHAT that "something" was...but it all went to **** and super fast! I was back at my old weight so fast I was almost convinced it was all a very good dream...

Now I'm back at it. I did it once and I can do it again! This time I'm also going to learn how to make it stick - for good! I have to change ME, the whole ME and not just my weight!

I started a blog about, not just weight, but motivation. And I want to use that to inspire myself and others.

I'm starting out by eating healthy foods and working out and working towards new goals all the time - also cutting out processed foods and cutting out most meats and lots of dairy. Fruits and Veggies - watch out, you are not safe around me!

Hi Lola,

You're not alone; so many of us have worked so very hard to get weight off and then something happens to ruin it all. I don't know what it was that made me gain so much weight, but that's in the past and I try not to beat myself up over it. The only thing that matters now is that we're getting healthier by the day. We can and will reach our goals if we just don't quit!

It sounds like you have all the knowledge, tools and plans to get to your goal. Just keep it up and you'll be back at your happy place in no time!

Hi Lola,

I took a look at your blog and LOVE IT! What a great idea!!!

The fact that you have reached your goal before means you have the power to do it again! I would love to hear more about the changes you are planning on making to get back to your goal! Also how long did it take you to reach your goal the last time you set out on this journey?

Have a Wonderful day,
Brittany

One of the worst things is - I gave away all my clothes and bought new ones then had to buy bigger clothes again...that was the staw that broke the camel's back for sure! I knew I was in trouble at that point!!

I'm right there with you, problem is I never saw it coming then one day I woke up and the weight is back again or in my case more then before. I am the heaviest I have ever been, very disappointing. I know that I can do this, I am just going to do it slower and with more determination to change 100%. I can not stay the same or I may as well quit trying.

Lola, I have done that enough times to know how heartbreaking it can be. The "when did this happen!? moment" can be infuriating and/or depressing. It sounds like you have the right attitude. I am convinced at age 48 that I am now embarking on a last chance mission not to lose the weight with a new diet, but to change my lifestyle permanently to something healthy, tenable, and designed to get me and keep me lean.

I'm going to modify intermittent fasting for appetite control with paleo eating ideas to shape a lifestyle I can live with. Not everyone can do those things, but I know I can. It's easier for me to eat once a day than 6 times a day. Not everyone is like that, but I have given this a lot of thought and want to ecourage you to do that to. Not do what I am planning, but give it and yourself a lot of thought so you can create a lifestyle that gets you where you want to be. Obviously we have both succeeded at losing weight, but failed at the lifestyle bit.

Best of luck.
