Default Help Me Please

I was doing so well, incredibly well and hit my lowest weight of 212 somewhere around 4/1/2010.. well ever since then i just cant keep on the plan... luckily i haven't really gained anything(maybe .8 of a pound) but i just keep slipping up...Tonight i did perfect but then i had a piece of pie and milk.. threw me 10 points over.. i know im gonna work out like crazy tomorrow to try and get that 200+ calories off but it just makes me feel so sad inside.I was doing so well and i let us have one cheat day on easter and its been **** since then.

I need motivation to get back on and stay on.I understand this is a lifestyle change but im tired of not losing weight.. i liked the feeling of losing and now i feel like iv been stuck forever.

you can do it. don't let one slip ruin the whole thing! in the long run, 200 calories isn't going to matter as much as all the good work you've done!

Don't think of it as you messed up and it's all ruined. Just because you have some kind of sweet doesn't mean it's the end of the world. Your body actually metabolizes better if you fluctuate your calories, plus if you restrict yourself from everything you like it makes you splurge more. You can't tell yourself you can't have something because you'll want it more. Just have a small amount of something sweet every once in awhile and you wont go way off course. Changing the types of sweets you have works too. Like switch different brands of chocolate to something healthier like dark chocolate or making your own pie with healthier ingredients. Substitution is key!

I know how you feel. Last night I went to my boyfriend's house and had a slip up. He ended up making a pizza and I ate 1 slice...not bad, but not good either since i went over my calorie limit. I also had two small orange cookies!

We are all bound to have these moments, and its really nothing to worry about as long as you get yourself back on track the next day. Don't stress

I just try to remember that each choice is a new opportunity to make a good choice. One bad choice doesn't have to lead to another. Slipping once doesn't have to lead to a backward slope. You said you'd exercise more tomorrow, and that's a good choice. Don't beat yourself up. Just forgive yourself and move on. When you slip, make the next choice a good one and you're already back on track.

Just go back and reflect on how you lost those 31lbs and think about how easy it was or how you made through it losing those 31lbs and maybe you might find your inspiration again. I hope you find what you need to keep going strong 31lbs lost already girl! Congrats

I thoguht linking back to this thread may be appropriate.

You're in what has been termed "mental plateau" when I read that thread I was going through the same thing and a light bulb went off. Hope it helps you too.

I agree with Feral, it might be a mental plateau.

And don't beat yourself up over it!! I hope that pie was darn good! And what about your extra weekly points? Did you still have them?

I had this problem a bit after Easter too, but I'm slowly but surely getting back on track and finally seeing the results from it. Those darn holidays are evil!! Just think back on all of the progress you've done. Like what you said, you're at your lowest weight...that's incredible!!! You should be very proud of that!

Please, please, please don't beat yourself up over not being perfect in your eating...or anything else for that matter. No one and nothing is ever going to be perfect. I think it's about staying positive and focusing on all the other good things that you are doing, such as non-scale victories. I have been in a place of burn out before and I have found that focusing less on weight loss and more on just living and being health. Also, I agree with the mental plateau suggestion. I hope that you can give yourself a break.
