Default This is me, an introduction! (n.n)

Hi, I'm SweetHina, you can call me Hina.
24, 230lbs, & I want to lose weight W/OUT using diet pills (no idea what kind of stuff is in those tiny pills >.<)
it was one of my 2010 new year goal; probably by now it is my only goal.
Even though the diet pills work for me, I've hit that area where I call a flatline - not being able to lose any more. I've gone down to 200lbs, but that's it. Not once have I gone below that, I've probably never been under 200lbs since junior high.
I gotta keep this short, gotta go to work in less than an hr.
I'll be back with what I've done & how it works.

Welcome Hina! Lots of chicks on 3FC don't use diet pills to lose weight! I think it's always kind of cool to hear what other people are doing, so I can't wait until you post back.

There's a lot of good advice on here about how to achieve weight loss in a more sustained long term way that you can maintain. After all weight loss is just practice for maintenance so we better get it right (or we get to practice again!)

Look around and chat with folks and see what sort of approach people took and what works for you. Everyone is very helpful if you have questions and things, good luck

Thank you for your welcomes! n.n

It wasn't my idea for using the diet pills. It was my mom's idea. Right now she's using Alli for over a year, not a single lb loss, she actually gained weight; she's not gonna listen until she figures it out herself.

Well after work I bought some granola & fruit bars, some strawberries that I can slice, freeze & make my smoothies. I've made some Pina Colada smoothies for the first time for my mom (no alcohol of course), just frozen pinapple chunks from the frozen department & pina colada mix. I don't think my work sells like those powered boosters like what Orange Julius does, it'll be nice to have it though for a lil boost. Bought a variety of meats than just chicken breasts, like pork & beef. I do have frozen veggies left over. Leftover brown rice, thinking of trying to make mini onigiris with brown rice.

If my parents aren't gonna grill the seafood, I'll just grill my beef on the counter-top grill.

The biggest problem in my house is food. I'm asian - my mom cooks asian food, however my younger brother eats american food, so its troublesome. My mom tends to cook food that either I can eat & he can't, cook something that both of us can or can't eat, or just gets lazy & orders out. Luckily I'm now only paying one bill instead of 3, so I can save up & buy myself foods to eat, healthy of course.

I know exercise is another key thing to losing weight, however its hard for me to exercise. I like to walk with something to listen to, but where I live it doesn't "feel" safe. I should try to make more space in my tiny room to fit a DDR pad in here.

What I mean by it is that its dinner & they don't know if they're gonna cook. Apparently they didn't so I just made myself a sandwich
