I totally understand what you're talking about.. for me it's not so much that someone says i've gained weight.. but for me it's relatives asking "how come you don't go to the gym anymore?" ... like HELLO I get what you're insinuating and it really is a big blow to self confidence.. usually what keeps me going is that these people are all gonna have to hold their tongue when i'm done losing weight.. cause really there is no other way to handle it.. Personally I don't like commenting on people's physical appearance unless it's a nice thing because I know how it feels to have mean words thrown at you.. so it's not like me to say something equally as mean back.. I just think to myself that when I'm skinny and hot who's gonna wish she'd hit the gym with me
However, if it is getting to a point for you where your self esteem is really damaged then you should express your feelings. I understand how hard it is when the person you have to say this to is related to you but you know it gets to a point where enough is enough. Just say it nicely that you'd appreciate it if they didn't criticize your physical appearance cause you don't criticize theirs.
If that's just not an option well.. what's this forum for!! come here and vent and get support like you are now from everyone else who is going through the same thing!
