Default Weight & resistance training at desk/cubicle

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for what kind of exercises I could do at my desk throughout the day while at work (I have a cubicle).

I was thinking of using hand weights and resistance bands/tubes. Some sort of routine would be great to find.

Thanks for any suggestions or website suggestions that might have some plans. I appreciate it!

Hi Cheree

I really like this site for ideas of resistance band workouts.

http://www.resistancebandtraining.co...ength-workout/

I purchased the black bands from Dave this summer and they are wonderful! They are flat, layered and welded. Much better than tubular bands. They offer quite a bit of resistance. Much more so than the tubular bands you could purchase from big box store. I used them with my clients over the summer and they loved them!

I tend to use the workout in the above link a couple days a week as a lower body warm up (squats, deadlift). The deadlift with the bands is a great "practice" and glute activation exercise before I actually step over and add some plates to the free bar.

However don't underestimate their ability to build strength and endurance. I only do one or two sets for a reason. I could easily turn this into a full workout by adding three more rounds and maybe a jump rope between each round for cardio. Minimal space and equipment that can be stored in your desk. Awesome!

Maybe you could purchase several of the bands and begin your own cubicle boot camp! :
