Default I'm still going...

Well I have had a good week and am happy to report that I am down almost 8lbs as of today. I think I will continue with induction a few more weeks just to keep my momentum going and also not get stalled.

I assume that I am in Ketosis, but I don't have any strips so I haven't checked. I just figured that since I was losing I was all good!

It sounds like people are doing well this week. I had to deal with making and bringing baked good to work several different times this week, but refused to cave in and have some since I knew it would really mess with my induction phase.

I am really happy that I jumped in and got started on this! It is good to be 8 lbs lighter than I was almost 2 weeks ago. I did a few quick measurements and I also believe I have lost about 6 inches.

Hope you are all having a great day!

Wow, Tonya, good for you!!!

It's great that you've completed the induction, and even greater that you were able to resist the baked goods! Was it very hard, or do you find, like me, that you aren't really tempted by those things like you used to be?

I wish you the best of luck on your continued journey to good health, I just know you will reach your goal!

BTW, how are you feeling? Did you go through the "Atkins flu" stage? Do you feel more energetic, less energetic, or the same as before? Just curious if this way of eating affects everyone like it did me.

Keep up the good work!
Funny you mentioned the ketosis strips, I lost over 100 lbs on Atkins and they never changed color at all. I also never had "Atkins Flu"....but, then again, I was always different

HL - I had a few symptoms like a stuffy nose and wondered if that was what was going on as well as a headache, but for the most part I felt fine. As far as how I feel energy wise. I am in the process of working on getting my hemoglobin up from 7 (should be between 12 - 15) so I don't really have a ton on energy or feel super great, but I chalk that up to low iron vs. my diet.

I have to admit I was tempted to eat the baked goods, and only resisted because of 3FC and the fact that my boss and I are both trying to lose weight and I want to beat him!

Thanks for the support, it is always nice to hear!

Kim,
Quick question. I bought sugar free syrup yesterday so I could try your recipe for french toast scrambled eggs next week. Every bottle I checked had about 10 carbs per serving in it. I usually don't even use syrup, so I would not be using the 1/4 c. they consider a serving, but wondered if the kind you recommend is lower in carbs than what I found, of if you just use a little bit like I was planning on doing to keep the carbs in check.

Hi Tonya,
When I make the french toast scrambled eggs, I use either DaVinci's Caramel sugar-free syrup (made with Splenda) or I use Walden Farms Sugar-Free Pancake Syrup or their Blueberry Syrup. Both DaVinci's & Walden Farms are 0 carbs.
