finally....
Hello all, it's finally nice to be here. I've been lurking in the shadows for a couple months now, too afraid to start. But I'm here now and I'm more than ready to begin. I need the support and understanding.
I'm new here but not new to weight loss. About 6 years ago i lost 100 lbs after being overweight almost my entire life, I kept it off easily for a couple years and then i became pregnant with my first child and put on about 25 lbs after him and then became pregnant a year later and packed another 30 lbs after that pregnancy. Now it's been a year after that last pregnancy and my eating habits have gone down the drain. I'm overweight and unhappy, but I'm ready to start my journey back to healthy and become a sexy mama.
I'm so ready for advice and support.
Thank you, Kate
My goal is also to become a sexy mama! Pregnancy also made me pack on some pounds and I am none too happy about it! If you've been checking out this forum for a while, you'll know by now that there are some great resources. You can also buddy up and hold each other accountable.

Thank you all so much for your replies, they are very inspiring! I'm definetly looking for a buddy to help me along and to help someone else. Thanks again!
Hi Kate!
There are many of us ex-shadow-lurkers here too - sounds like you're off to a great start toward SexyMamaLand - the support you need is here - we'll be here to cheer you on..
Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated and inspired. Try the weight loss support forums, they're active and very helpful - also the Success stories are a definite must for motivation.
There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.
I've only been here since last fall, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of going off track or giving up. It has made all the difference in my success so far.
So welcome - you've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!
All the best - good luck with your goals - here's to a healthier and happier you,
Lee
