Default **insert dancing carrot**

I knew the dancing carrot would bring you in... no one can resist the dancing carrot!

Hi all! I'm Majestic. I've been yo-yo'ing the same 10-15 lbs since college 7 years ago. I don't have much difficulity losing weight when I eat responsibly, however I am a lover off all things anti-nutritious. Junk foods, refined sugars, processed meats? I actually look forward to those things.

I recently realized that I'm not a boredom eater or a stress eater... I'm a milestone eater. For each milestone I reach, I reach for ice cream. Got a raise? "Let's have pizza for dinner!" Cleaned the kitchen? "I should reward myself with a doublecheese burger!" Bad day? "That's okay, this triple chocolate cake will make it go away!"

Now that I know my triggers, I'm working on replacing my unhealthy habits with whole foods. I keep no less than 3 pieces of fruit in my purse at all times... and yes, it is a very big purse. And, as I'm excited as I am to have broken the 190lbs barrier, I didn't celebrate with lasagna. Watch me grow!

Thanks for the welcomes, ladies! This site is another change I made to keep healthy living at the forefront of my mind. Nothing curbs your appetite like realizing you're a fat chick.

I am the EXACT same way.. eat to celebrate and eat when I am sad.. same as you I am trying to find something else to fill that void. I even made myself a goals/rewards chart. For each 10 pounds I get something nice, like a fancy expensive pedicure. Or some new tennis shoes..

Dancing carrot got me interested too.. lol

can't foget these guys! ---->

Hi Majestic!
Yes, we're all suckers for a dancing carrot, evidently you are too! Congrats on your success so far - how smart to make your priority health and not just a diet or a number - the support you need is here - we'll all be here to cheer you on.

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated and inspired - you'll be a wonderful addition to any of them - you're witty and honest and can offer support to others here. Try the 20 somethings and the weight loss support forums, they're active and very helpful - also the Success stories are a definite must for motivation.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here since last fall, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of going off track or giving up. It has made all the difference in my success so far.

So welcome - you've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

All the best - good luck with your goals,
Lee
