Default Why am I not losing?

Seriously! In fact I get up this morning and i have gained almost a whole pound since Monday. I started my plan again last Monday (4th) and have been on plan except one meal out. This monday when I weighted in I was up a pound. I decided to weigh myself everyday this week and everyday I have went up!

I am on plan eating under my calories and by under I mean 40-80 per day. I have been working out 5x per week and according to my Body bugg I burn about 24-2600 on non workout days and about 3-3200 on workout days.

I currently eat about 1800 calories per day.

SO WHY AM I NOT LOSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:mad :

Let me add also that I have lost weight in the past on 1800 calories when I weighed less than I do now..

Advice/suggestions?

My body is the same way I will lose weight and then gain a little and then lose a little more and then gain. My weight fluctuates a lot but try not to let the number get you frustrated. Our bodies are really complicated we can eat all the right things and exercise and still gain weight. Saturday was a horrible day for me and Im down a little but not lower then last weeks weight but I am still on my period so maybe thats why. It sounds like your doing everything right just keep up the good work and soon the number on the scale will start to go down. Stay positive.

My first thought is water retention. From the one off plan out meal - lots of sodium in restaurant food. Also, could be from the exercise, particularly if you just started exercise on the 4th as well, or changed your exercise around then. I always retain water from a change in exercise and from eating out. And, I can easily hang on to 4-8 pounds of water from one day to the next.

Possible about water weight bc it was mexican food.. chips and salsa yummmm..

But i have been working out for well over a year now. I did up my time from about 40 minutes cardio to 60 though.... thoughts to ponder... I also lift weights 4-5x per week

I'd also like to say that just because you were able to eat 1800 calories in the past doesn't necessarily mean that you can now. I would wait and see a few more weeks if you lose some weight and if you don't, I would suggest cutting down the calories to 1500 - 1600. Our bodies change all the time. Most likely, you are just retaining some water though, so hang in there. I would really make sure before I decrease calories because the more you can eat and still lose weight, the better!

Are you weighing yourself at the same time everyday?

I think it might be the cals and possibly not enough water.

Within a 30min +/- yes I weigh at the same time everyday.

Im really hoping its not the calories because I really like getting 1800 hundred. Lets me still feel like I am eating ! I dont want to have to lower them.. Ill give it another week see what happens.

I agree with the other posts but wanted to say that if you're stats are correct your very close to your goal weight. Those last 10lbs can be a real headache & take quite awhile to get off.
Just keep working out, switching it up often.
Eat as much Clean foods as you can, drink lots of water, limit sugar, alcohol and you'll get there.
Now might be the time to switch to using your measurements as reference instead of the scale.

Good Luck!!

Do not get on the scale for 7 days. Don't do it. In that time boost your water intake, up your veggies/fruit and try to eat clean.

And I see ginny said the same thing LOL!
