Thumbs down Holiday Indulgences

What did you do this Holiday season. Me? Oh, I went and gained 5 lbs by eating sweets every day for a week or more. I know. A great start to the new year. Thank goodness it is a new year. Time to wipe the slate clean and start fresh! Hope everyone else didn't do too much damage. Happy New Year!!!! Good luck in 2010!

I gained about 1 lbs of real weight (maybe 7 lbs of water weight on top of that) after Christmas. Increased my exercise and reduced carbs for a week and lost all the real and water weight and now am back to my lowest. Don't worry about the past. As you say, just move on and keep at it.

I had some holiday issues as well...lots of sweets. But the most important thing is to get back on track right now, today, and that's what you're doing!

I was incredibly good the entire holiday season, but last night, I went to a New Year's party and had some white wine, which really messed me up. I only had about 1.5 glasses (the plastic ones they had were tiny and I had 3 of those) and that completely interfered with my sleep so I only slept 20 minutes the whole night. I don't do well with alcohol (even though I had a great time while at the party) and I felt sick the whole night and still today. Because of that, I wasn't able to workout today, but I did take two small walks around my neighborhood.

I plan to get right back on track tomorrow with my workouts and my weight loss!

I ate way too much but I recognize it and am starting the year off on the right foot: Plenty of water and conscious consumption.
