Default Calorie Counting for IPOD Touch that does NOT require WIFI

Hey guys,

Anyone has experience with a great APP that works on IPOD touch, when you do not have access to WIFI?

I have seen some for the Iphone, but they always require access to the internet... Any program that does not?

Thanks for asking - and answering! - this question. I just got an iPod Touch yesterday and was hoping there was a handy calorie tracking app that I can use instead of my tatty notebook that I've been keeping in my purse.

I realllly like it! I have been a die hard Livestrong tracker for a while now and I really debated between the Loseit app and the Livestrong app. The Loseit app is free and the Livestrong app is 2.99.. not a huge investment but not free! Also, I googled tons and while the food database on the Loseit app isn't as big as the Livestrong app, the LS app seems to be really buggy and crashes a lot. I'm going to use the Loseit app and if the reviews for the LS app improve I might switch but I hate buggy software that crashes.

Hi!

I also have the LoseIt App and LOVE IT!
I never remember to get on my computer daily to log my food so it helps that I can do so on my phone.

They also have a decent formun that you can view from your computer as well as see your info in a much larger format if you want to. LoseIt dot com

If anyone is interested, I'm happy to be "Friends" with them on the App.

my email is ginnym1981 @ gmail.com

send me your email and I can add you if you aren't sure how to do it!

Ok, so, I have a question... I was using the Loseit app but someone bought me the Livestrong Calorie Tracker app because they knew I tracked on LS and it is very cool and it syncs with the website, etc. However, I love that the Loseit app allows me to password protect it on my touch.. does anyone know if you can password protect the LS calorie tracker app? So far, I haven't figured out a way.. if I can't figure it out I might switch back to the loseit app.

Hey Everyone,
Lurker and this is my first official post. I love lose it. I've been using it faithfully for a month. I bought a paper journal to count in but I always have my iPhone with me so I usually log right after or before I eat.

I also make TONS of custom foods and recipes to make so I get the calorie and nutrition info absolutely correct.

Wanderland, thanks for posting. I didn't know you could customize and many of the foods I eat aren't available; how do I find that function? Is there a way to log things online as well with the program?

ok...i got Lose It on my ipod yesterday, and it says I should only be eating 1064 calories to get to 110 by April 12, 2010. Aren't I supposed to be eating more than this?!
