Default Your workout goals for 2010!

*Print them out and put them somewhere you'll see them

Specific workout goals by December 2010:

1. Squat: 1RM 125lbs (tricky)
2. Deadlift: 1RM 200lbs (could surpass as I'm at 190lbs but stopped)
3. Bench: 1RM 75lbs (ouch!)
4. Press: 1RM 60lbs (double ouch!)
5. Power Clean: 100lbs (a bit ambitious)

General workout goals:

1. Continue working out until late May/early June (baby due date)
2. Not workout until late July/early August without going insane
3. Go back to pre-baby weight or exceed that if it means gaining muscle!

Other goals:

1. Not to go insane when moving 5000km across the country to a French province when my French sucks, having a baby, and purchasing a home - in the same month.

Moving to a French Providence? Exciting! I took a French class this semester...it didn't go quite so well.

My goals:

1. ENJOY going to the gym again
2. Run a 5k in the OKC memorial marathon
3. Learn a lot about weight lifiting - to stop being afraid of "that side" of the gym
4. Look good in a swimsuit!

Hmmmm.

Sacha - I'm so lost in French, even though I had several years of it in school. I can read more than I can speak/understand. Hang in there, many people will also speak/understand English. Just think, your child can be bilingual.

Exercise goals.

1. Exercise a minimum of 4x/week (this will be easier when I retire and get rid of the pesky evening meetings)
2. Swim 500 yards continuously (i.e. no resting at the ends)
3. Learn to do a flip turn without coming up sputtering (to enable me to do #2)
4. Do a full depth squat
5. Do a "real" push-up (and more than 1 at some point)

Wow sacha, that's scary and exciting all at the same time! Good luck!

My goals:

1. Get back to my workout schedule! This month has just been kind of slowly slipping off.
2. Work on getting back into C25K
3. Learn to snowboard and make it down a run without falling! (The not falling part could be a little ambitious, but I'm ready to try to snowboard again so that I can do more than just ski!)
4. Start spinning classes 2 days a week!
5. Make it through a Jillian Michaels workout without wanting to die afterwards.

Haha, my first one looks like Depalma's!

1) don't get hurt
2) learn to rest when I need to rest
3) add 25 pounds to my deadlift
4) add 25 pounds to my front squat
5) clean up my form on power cleans, jerks and snatches

When I get back to VT next week I'll be working with a new trainer who's going to help me set more specific goals and retool my workout. I do have a few general goals, though. I really want to add more power lifting and improve my form. Mostly though I want to do more than 1 unassisted chin up!

I wanna play!

1. Increase consecutive wide-grip pullups to 12 / 10 / 8, unassisted. Currently stuck at 8 / 6 / 5.
2. Add 10 pounds to bench, or comfortably above body weight
3. Add 20 pounds to squat.
4. Do a muscle up.
5. Do a handstand pushup. I may already be able to do one, but have wimped out every time I get close to trying. (In my defense, my gym has "no feet on the walls" signs everywhere, and I don't have a mat at home. I know: excuses, excuses.)

be strong,
K

Kim reminded me of one: Handstand push ups! or a handstand without the wall.
I'm pretty sure I can do at least one, but I get scared and wimp out with about a 4 inch dip.

Did I mention I love doing handstands? It's just plain FUN
