Yeah, when I saw the post where someone mentioned underarm "caves", I knew I was in the right place. lol
No one warns you....or at least me...about all of the changes you will go through when losing large amounts of weight. Not just the physical, but the emotional as well. The letdown of maybe not having the body you envisioned, the need to find a new identity. The jealousy, the spouse/family members who don't know how to relate to the new you. The constant unsolicited comments on your body.
The feeling that it's all a dream because you've wanted this SO bad for SO long, yet the fear that it's somehow not real and you will wake up back where you started. The way you somehow do not see the real you when looking in a mirror, but rather the heavier you. Forgetting that you no longer need to move out of people's way and no longer need to shop in the plus size section. The apprehension that somehow you've gained weight and don't really wear size 8 jeans after all.
The way that people look up to you, always asking you how you did it, as if you will somehow have the magic answer that will unlock the ability for them to have success.
I could go on and on....but I won't. It's just so nice to know there are others out there who get it.
