Finally.....
....some thing that makes sense to me!
Long story short, I used to be an athlete untill a knee injury put an end to that, the weight came on, and here I am. Anyway, I have been trying (and I say that in the loosest sense of the word) on and off for years to get the weight off, but nothing seemed to work. Honestly, nothing worked becasue I never tried very hard. I was never one to "be on a diet."
I'm not sure why but something finally clicked. This I understand. Burn more than you consume and the weight comes off! I don't have to be on a diet, I just have to burn more than I take in. This leads to making better food choices (not always) and adding in some exercise for an added calorie loss.
I still have to fight cravings (totally an emotional eater) and create diferent outlets for stress, but I feel as if I am finally on the right track. It sounds cliche but this really is more of a lifestyle change than a diet, and I am thrilled I finally "get it".
