Question Buddy wanted

Well, I am finally taking this final step. I started out 7 years ago at 466 lbs and am now at 235 where I have been stuck for 2 years give or take five pounds. I am bound and determined to try again to lose another 60 pounds and would like some feedback on a great program for someone who likes to eat a fairly healthy diet, no red meat and loves to cook. I was thinking about the Sonoma Diet-any thoughts or recommendations???

Thanks!

Welcome to 3FC. Congrats on your success and good luck with your goals.

As for eating plans, I am a calorie counter. You can find out more on that and other eating plans here - http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/#diet-central

I follow the meditteranean diet and I don't eat meat. Check out the weekly thread.

Good luck!

Hi freddi411!
First of all, congrats on the major weight loss you've already achieved - it proves you are a person of determination with a history of success!

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained!

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a short time myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome aboard and good luck with your goals - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

P.S. I am currently on a low calorie/low carb plan & it's working very well & so far has been really easy to follow - I have a lot to lose so I wanted to make sure I was doing something I could stick to.
