Talking Plugging Away at New Diet

Hi Everyone. My name is Darcel and I have been dieting for about 2 months.
I have lost nearly 20 pounds by watching my calories and fat. I was motivated to finally take off some weight by missing or avoiding activities with my family. I have lots of weight to lose, 70 lbs more. I haven't been exercising which I know I need to incorporate into my healthy living plan.
Right now I seem to be stuck at my current weight. I have been real good about my eating habits so I don't know. I need to exercise! I am excited about finding this board and having a support system!

Congrats on sticking to it for 2 months so far! In the past, I've never been able to stick to it for that long....I'm going to change that this time around I'm determined!

Don't let exercise intimidate you, just start small: a walk around the block, taking the stairs instead of an elevator and don't be afraid to weight train as well! The more lean muscle you develop the more calories you will burn. Nutrition is the hardest part for me, because if I slip up and eat something i'm not supposed to or eat waaaay to much I don't even feel motivated to exercise then, I feel like I just failed.

But welcome and I wish the best of luck to you on your journey!

and
on your loss so far. I found that exercise was hard for me too. I just kept trying different things until I found what worked for me. I like my Wii and DVDs and walking.

You CAN do this! And, exercise will help. Why not try a dance DVD or class, or maybe yoga or pilates, or something different than what you have tried before?

if you continue doing the same thing for weight loss day in and day out, your body gets used to it and it becomes easier and easier. You have to challenge your body to try new things, new foods and different exercises. If you have not been exercising and you incorporate this into your regime, you will most definately be watchning the scale go down once again. But change your exercise routine every 2 weeks so your body doesn't get used to the same movement.
