Day 1
Hi Everyone
I was just been diagnosed with moderate degenerative disc disease and my Doc suggested I drop my weight. I have struggled with my weight since my teens. I am 50 years old 5 11" and I weigh 270 lbs, I would like to lose 100 lbs. Diets that I have had the most success in the past were Atkins and South Beach. I am a yo yo dieter, it is usually some type of life crisis that sends me off the rails.(I live an extraordinary life, tons of drama) I have had so many gym memberships, maximum length of fitness plan is maybe a month. I love to dance and swim and have just discovered yoga. Although because of my back pain which is pretty much constant I haven't exercised in months. I used to love to walk but prefert to have company. I am single, I think I am gorgeous even with the weight..(modest too..lol) This is for health reasons. Fitting into a size 12 again might be fun too however..
So I discovered the Sonoma Diet website today and was about to join, but decided I would probably get more out of a free forum such as this. I am hoping joining this site will help me stick to my guns, and help me reach my goal, I have a tendency to stop after losing 40 lbs, I want to go the whole nine yards this time. Look forward to meeting all of you.
