Default Friends and Losers - March 9 - 15

Morning!

Hey gang... Sorry I've been AWOL.. We've been slammed with fires this past week and I have some major deadlines going at work.

Trying to be good and mostly succeeding, but I've fallen off the exercise wagon... I need to find some motivation to get going, as the few pounds I put on over the holidays don't seem to be motivation enough...

Happy Monday all! How is everyone adjusting to the time change? I gotta say it was a little tough to get outta bed this morning!

Thank you all for the support! I did great at DF's work party. They had a nice spread of veggies and a beautiful fruit salad. I skipped bread, butter, pasta and rice and just stuck with protein. BUT I did end up drinking more than planned. A group of us went out afterwards and a few of the client's bought us drinks and dinner. I was good and ordered a salad-but I know those 2 beers put me over the top. So scale was a up a bit, but nothing I can't handle! I appreciate the motivation Kimberly and Jill!

Kim-that ride/hike sounds wonderful! They raffled a harley at the work party btu unfortunately we weren't winners. Good for you for getting out there and hiking all that way! Bet it felt great to get moving. I'm so inpired by your POPness. That is awesome.

Dan! I hear ya on the exercise hiatus. I took last week off and it didn't feel good. I'm back this week!

I'm ready.....so ready to see a nice big loss on tues. I'm going to have to do some planning today as I'll be driving a lot, but I know I can stay POP!

Week 2: So I had gained 8 oz last Tuesday and I lost it Saturday so I started right back where I was last week. My son turned one on Saturday and we had a big party. I did not cheat once. As I was making the cakes I did catch myself one time try to lick icing off my finger but I did not and sort of started spitting everywhere and my one year old laughed so hard. I stuggle with staying on plan every single day. But I am going to make it this time. I exercised all day yesterday and I am going to walk tonight as well. And just this morning I have drank enough water I could float home..

My mom and I are going to LAWL together. She did LA 4 years ago and lost 70 pounds, she kept some of it off but for medical reasons she needs to loose more. We are on different plans and it is hard to get her to understand somethings. She did the color plans and took suplements last time, and now with the number plans foods are not rated the same. I will not waiver from my plan, but she some how adjust things to fit her food needs and ends up loosing more. Anyway, I will stay positive..

Hello everyone!! Today is my deadline at LAWL to lose my 20 pounds so I go weigh in tonight after work… as of Friday I was 1.4 pounds away from my goal so I doubt I was able to lose all 1.4 in just a couple days but I hope to be close! They said if I am a pound away I wouldn’t have to purchase more weeks just to lose 1 pound so that is nice! As long as I didn’t gain over the weekend, I should be good! Wish me luck!!!

Over the past week I have been very motivated!! I have been working out with “My Fitness Coach” on Wii and really like it!! I was using Wii Fit every day just after Christmas but haven’t been on it for a long time… I am enjoying My Fitness Coach way more!! On the weekend I purchased some weights and a Medicine Ball and I plan on working with them as well.

Keep up the good work everyone!!!

Mandy

Hi Guys!

I haven't been around recently either, the DH and I had a rough weekend. He was offered a "promotion" that included a 30% pay CUT. We were torn all weekend, even fought pretty bad about it. It's a great job but tough to get over that pay cut especially since he's been with the company almost 3 years.

He did take it though. It's full time and he's only a contractor right now, so that's a pro. In the end, the pros outweighed the cons, so we went with it. It's in VA, and I am in Jersey until I graduate in December so it will be hard, but we can do it. I am getting a new car out of it, so that made it a TAD better. I havea great car now, just don't trust it driving 5 hours. I am looking at Mazda 6's...

Anyways, I am drinking the FRS juice that Hungry Girl recommended and I like it! It tastes pretty good with seltzer and I already have a ton of energy! I am not going tot he gym today, but am going to go walk the town park!

Here's to a good day guys!!

FRS juice is this fruit concentrate (or juice, depending on what you buy...) that gives natural energy. Here's the link with the info:

https://secure.frs.com/store/hg30/?page=33817598;|ad=212444560;

(that's also 30% off from HG...)

I will attest that it doesn't taste bad and it definitely gave me energy!

Hmm, I hadn't ever heard of that FRS before. Might have to look for it. How many WW points?

Welcome Amy! Good name!

I've done great today. I was SO proud of myself at lunch. I packed some grapes, a fiber bar and my spinach/berry smoothie. I was starving at around 1pm so I went to Carl's Jr bc I love their salad. But I started thinking about the cheese I would have to pick off and the dressing and decided to just order a bbq chicken breast. So that's what I ate. I was totally satisfied and it felt great to talk myself out of eating something I knew that i probably shouldn't!!
I have to say-you inspired my Kim--I know I can be "to a T" as well and I'm really going to make that effort this week. No more cutting corners for me!

AmyNJ-sorry to hear about the trouble at DH's work. I hate arguing over stuff like that-but it's such a big deal and I'm glad you guys made a decision. I hope that it works out for the best. I know DF and I are so thankful for our jobs right now. We know so many who are struggling!

KimR-I'm right there with ya on the water today. I violated the sodium laws this weekend too!

I hope you are all having a great day!

Amy, if your DH is going to get benefits and paid time off with the new job and didn't have it before (most contractors don't), it probably a very good deal to take the new job. Are you going to be able to be together over the summer? Are you feeling 100% now? Are classes eating you alive? My DD is having much stress over her financial accounting and finance classes this term. I'll be glad when she finishes those, as she always calls mom when she gets very overwhelmed with school... I also get the calls with the grade report on the exams too, so that has been mostly good. She will finish either a year from now, or a year from June... Not quite sure, depends on what she does for the summer. She is talking about taking summer school. I think it might be better for her to have a bit of time off... as a person can get burned out.

I'm going down to Palm Springs tomorrow to visit my dad there, and I'm looking forward to seeing some sunny weather. It snowed here today, although it didn't stick all that much, I'm just sick of seeing it snow. Normally we don't get enough to get tired of it here, but this winter we did.
