Good morning It's amazing what a difference some sleep can make
I'm helping with another cooking class today. Tuesday was a lot of fun so I'm looking forward to today's class.
My eating yesterday was awful. Of course I have excuses but that's no excuse. Basically I just kept putting food in my face all day. Nothing off plan but too much of everything. Need to get back to plan today.
here's to ya, Cyndi. There must have been something in the air yesterday, I had the urge to eat all day, too. The only thing that kept me on track was knowing it was Ash Wednesday. I'm Catholic, and we're supposed to fast between meals, so I was a good girl.
I have to work late again tonight, and I want to go in early to get a few things done, so it will be a long day. I'm cooking Jake's dinner now, so he'll just have to warm it up when he wants it. He's capable of fixing his own supper, but I know he really appreciates it when I have something ready for him, and he lets me know. It's supposed to be a balmy, sunny day, so I'm hoping Maggie and I can get outside for a nice walk. Maybe we'll pack a picnic lunch to take to the park and walk the trail around the pond there. Maggie really enjoys watching the ducks, but we're not allowed to feed them anymore. We have fun trying to skip stones across the water, though.
Moving a tad slowly this morning. I think I slept wrong on my leg as it's giving me grief. Right now I'm going to exercise it by putting out the trash.
Aside from that, it'll be a quiet day around here - well, as quiet as it ever gets with two nutsy dogs. Jazz has taken to doing sprints from one end of the house to the other and Disney barks at him when he flies by. Too funny! Donna comes to clean so it'll be interesting to see how she cleans around this sideshow.
Happy Thursday! Two more mornings before March when spring will be a possibility.
Hiya chicks! Sorry I've been MIA this past wee while. I have been hella sick with tonsilitus and pals. Still in recovery and back at work today. I feel so tired and my co-workers keep asking me why I'm back. Off plan eating and I'm really not all that bothered as I didn't have much of an appetite so when I was hungry toast was the way to go.
~sigh~
Cyndi: It's hard climbin back on, I hope you're more successful than I.
Cottage: Enjoy your nice weather, I can't wait for warmer weather here!
Ruth: I hope your leg feels better.
Sorry for the mopey post. I'll try and do better! xo
Good morning chicks! Jenny, sorry you're feeling under the weather. Feel better soon! Ruth, hope you work out the leg aches. cottage, your walk sounds lovely. Maybe I will work one in today too! cyndi, one day won't kill you. Have fun at your cooking class! What are you making.
Let's see, pretty run-of-the-mill day around here. Everyone going in every which direction. I've got to order sheet cakes for 60 people for our banquet this weekend. DH got back from his trip last night. He was sick the whole time they were out on the water. I don't know how he kept going - when I had it a couple of weeks age it was all I could do to get out of bed. He was beat, but happy to be home. He misses us. I couldn't believe he was back to the regular schedule and out the door at 5:30 this morning, he could have slept in one day, ya know? I think I'm going to make that chicken tortellini soup again today, I didn't have all the ingredients last time, so this time I can follow the recipe exactly... then decide what I want to change LOL!
Have a good one chickies, Friday is on its way!
morning all just me and max readying your posts..i think he knows i'm leaving tommorrow and doesn't want me to escape. but he gets to go stay with his mom and dad (at my moms house) so he'll be so big when i get home. but my daughter really wants me to visit and they won't let me take max on the bus (something about rules or something) anyways my 11 year old is going with me so should be a fun trip (or not) we don't leave til almost 7 p.m and get there at 2:30 a.m. any ideas of snacks i could take with me?

Good morning! With DH gone this week, I find myself not having the time to come on here and check in. So this is my hello from yesterday and today!
Cyndi - It has to be hard being around all that food and not eating it all. I am sure you will be able to get yourself back on track. cottage - I am with you, the only thing that kept me on track was Ash Wednesday yesterday! Ruth - LOL at the dogs. My house can be like that except replace the dog with a 2 year old. LOL! Jenny - I hope you are feeling better soon! Take it easy today. Schmoodle - Do you ever stop? I hope things run smoothly for you! Stacy - Enjoy your dancing today! It is great exercise.
I am off to visit my sister and her little girls today. Them off to get the boys' hair cut. They are in desperate need of it. Tonight, I have my weekly weight loss group. . .hoping for a small weight loss. It seems that I just can not get below 220. We'll see what happens. Hopefully I can pop on tonight. . .if not, I will chat with everyone tomorrow.
Another exciting day in Beautiful Remlap. Auston is getting ready for school. Jeff is playing an old Jazz album he found at the thrift store. I'm finishing my breakfast yogurt. Hunger must have been in the air yesterday. Sheesh! Today will be better.
All that laundry that I was supposed to get done for our trip is still sitting in the laundry baskets. So, today, it's laundry! Gotta pack!
Cyndi -- Hooray for sleep! Have fun in your cooking class.
Cottage -- We aren't allowed to feed the ducks either. Some kind of a poop=germs issue.
Ruth -- Maybe a right-laying-nap will help your leg feel better.
Elusive -- I've missed you! Glad you are back. Feel better soon!
Schmoodle -- A sick hubby is hard. Be strong.
Me4Life -- Have fun on your trip! Hopefully the bus ride will go quickly.
Stacy -- I'd have to turn into a bear and hibernate if I leaved in the Great North. I complain when it's less than 40 -- Really!
Morning chicks, I can't believe I have a few minutes this morning to get in here and say a proper HELLO. My house seems to be crazy lately. I can't seem to get these wee ones on a gooc schedual. Quiet time has been crazy lately. And when I do have a few moments then I seem to be doing fundraising stuff. Eating has been so so, but I am down 8 pounds and it is only from not drinking diet coke, amazing. I am hoping to get my eating better. And see if I can get some more pounds gone. Made a great chicken and barley soup yesterday so that is my meal for tonight supper. Not sure about the rest of the day. I seem to fill up on water and tea and forget to eat.
Ruth- Hope you work out the kinks. Cottage- Enjoy the day with Maggie, a picnic sounds lovely... we have far to much snow around here to even think about a picnic. Elusive - Glad to see you are back, have a great day. Jenny- take care. Schmoodle- hope hubby feels better soon. Me4Life - hope you have a great trip. To bad you can't take your puppy. Stacyhope you have a great day. Chelby- My hubby loves Jazz as well, we always go to the Jazz festival every fall, it is a great time. Have a wonderful day
Wow I made it through personals with the wee ones happy that it is play time with the toys... there maybe hope yet the the routine will fall into place... have a wonderful day all.
A real quick fly in for me. The weather is great here, the eating is o.k., walking is done, and kids are going in 4 different directions(Schmoodle much like you I think) and work is calling. So all in all I think life is going pretty good for me.
Love keeping up with everyone and meeting the newcomers just don't seem to have time to check in or it is really late for you ladies before I even read the thread.
What a fun activity, Cyndi! Do you have a friend that teaches cooking classes? I'm sure you'll do better today, but here's some just in case.
Shame you can't feed the duckies anymore, Cottage! Did they tell you why? You're a sweetheart to make dinner for Jake. I'm glad he appreciates it. I was hungry a lot yesterday too, but it being AW helped me too. My stomach actually growled before I went to Mass--it hasn't done that in a while. Good for me to remember what hunger actually feels like.
Love the dog show antics, Ruth! You have two very fun pups! I wish Donna luck! Hope you feel better.
Jenny, sorry you're sick! Whatever you do, avoid getting your tonsils taken out in Scotland. My Scottish friend did that as an adult and it was horrific--they made her eat a piece of dry toast (to prove that she could eat and keep it down) the day of her surgery before they'd let her go home! I can't imagine...
Schmoo, glad DH is home. Hope you all stay healthy for a while!
Have fun on your trip, Me4!
I love the BeeGees, Dreamin'! I have fond memories of dancing around my aunt and uncle's house with my cousins to the BeeGees--they lived in Toronto. Guess Canada still has Disco Fever!
My3, you'll whoooosh past 220 when you least expect it!
Chelby, you'd be miserable here--when it gets UP to 40 (like today), we party!
Good luck with the routine, LC! It's good to have you here.
Me:
Off to the gym after work for cardio, then home for doggy walk and dinner and snack, then back to the gym (with DH this time) for an hour of yoga. Then, hopefully, some relaxing at home. Tomorrow is my day off and I actually have nothing planned. I think I may spend some time running errands and picking up supplies for a scrapbook trip on Saturday. Maybe lunch with a friend. We'll see!
Cottage - it's so nice that you make sure that DH has a nice dinner waiting for him. You're a good wife
Cyndi - I was the same way. I was eating good food, just too much. Here's to jumping back on plan today!
Ruth - Sorry your leg is giving you trouble. at the dogs.
ExclusiveKoolAid - Hope you feel better soon!
Schmoo - Have a great day!
Me4life - enjoy your trip!
DreaminStacy - my DS has been on a U2 kick lately, although he prefers Bono when he was younger.
mythreesons - DS needs his haircut as well. Thankfully he loves getting it done, so it isn't too big of a hassle. Good luck with the loss!
Chelby - enjoy your day!
LC - it is tough to get little ones on a schedule. We had a pretty good one going and it went out the window when we moved...trying to get him back into one is tough. I need to crack down on that - thanks for reminding me! Enjoy your day!
Phxsunflower - Have a great day!
Beach - I think having a day off and having nothing planned is the best. Enjoy it!

Nothing too exciting going on around here today. DH is interviewing new clients and had to go to the office early but will still be home around lunchtime. I got the stroller cleaned up yesterday and am hoping to go for a nice walk around the neighborhoods today. Laundry and putting away more stuff is on the agenda (does it ever end!!)
DH started a Saturday morning basketball league and I think I'm going to use that time to play some tennis with my friend. I think we'll drop DS1 off with his grandma and keep DS2 in a stroller. It will be nice to have the commitment -- I like having a reason to get out of bed and get moving on a Saturday morning.
Morning all! Yay I get to say that and it's actually morning!
I had a great trip to Vegas. I gained a pound but that's ok. I enjoyed it and for once a vacation wasn't about food! I only ate poorly ONCE (hence the pound) if you don't count the drinking Lots of walking made up for it.
I had a great interview on Tuesday and have one today but, believer Bad vibes. in Karma that I am, the Org is moving -- TO THE SAME BUILDING THAT LAID ME OFF! I am so icked out by it.
Ok going to read back now. Have a good Thursday chickies! I am heading to NY tomorrow to get fitted for my bridesmaid dress.
