Default Weekend Warmup

Good Morning Ladies! Rise N Shine! The weather man says it is supposed to warmup this weekend but the way the wind is howling out there right now I am not sure I agree! Guess we will see what daylight brings!

Lots of running to do today, mainly for DD. Hair & makeup, fake boobies, and then of course the big event tonight. Cross your fingers and say a prayer cause if she gets queen, heaven help us all with the ego! I'm kidding of course.

Coffee is on, gonna go fill up and I will check back in a bit.

Good morning all.

Pacer, gl to dd! Wow, what a treat to be even in the contest!

Jenski.... To be surrounded by all those handsome men! I sure hope they didn't come with a hefty bill! But oh my, ... hhhmmm, perhaps I should try that? roflmao. (Can you tell I need to get out?)

It's suppose to reach the 40s today so I thought I'd take the pups out for a walk at the park, the one that plows their paths in the winter. The pups love to run there! Then I'm going to go get some groceries for the house.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for your DD, Stephanie! I hope she has a fantastic time tonight, and please post some pictures!

Our warm-up is supposed to start today, and I'm yearning to sit out in the sunshine for a spell. Monica and Eric are coming out either today or tomorrow, and Jake wants to throw something on the grill for dinner. I think we both have cabin fever.
As soon as Jake is ready, we're off for a little breakfast and some shopping, and I must visit my parents today since I didn't get around to it yesterday. But other than that, I'll be home the rest of the day.

Pacer - Ah yes, good moms buy wonder bras for big events I remember those days. I love looking back at those pictures. It was crazy and fun.

It's reallly cold here for a day that is supposed to get relatively warm. We are going bird chasing yet again. Hope we get the bird this time!

Have a good day Chicks I hope to be back in later this afternoon.

ETA: Lori - enjoy the warm weather
Cottage - these warmer days in winter are such a treat! I went out for a walk yesterday and was surprised at how warm 28 feels now.

Good morning chicks!

Steph- wow, that sounds wonderful! Do post pics if you can!

Lori - I'm excited about the warm up too! Hope the pups enjoy.

Cottage - ahhhh, the grill! This time of year is so rough, you have to have all the burners on high to chip the ice off !! You're right, this'd be a good day to do it though! I might have to follow your lead...

Me - Now, I'm fantasizing about grilling out. I'll ask the DH what he'd like to do.

Until then, I need to clean the fridge out (jealous, aren't you?!), clean the van out, and do general cleaning as well. I *think* it's supposed to be a warm day out, so I hope to go on an outside run! Soooo much easier than a treadmill!

Have a great day!

Good Morning!

I have to say I'm very frustrated with my weight loss. For the past 3 weeks, I'm at 188. I thought I was off the plateau, as the scale has read 186 all week, until this morning. Last night, we had a big, late meal at my MIL's house. It was on plan, just big.

Anyway, off to Jazzercise this morning. Auston is going to spend the night with his cousin tonight. Jeff and I are supposed to go on a date, but I'm not sure I want to eat in a restaurant.

Zeff -- I've made a new blizzard... Instead of ice, I'm using frozen strawberries. The texture is like softserve ice cream. DH says it's the best dessert he's had since living on The Beach.

Pacergal -- Good luck to your daughter!

Loriann -- Have fun in the park!

Cottage -- A man throwing something on the grill is my favorite!

Cyndi -- Have fun birdwatching! We have flocks of little junkos hanging around the back yard right now. Our lab mix runs into the flock and they fly into the trees. As soon as she leaves, they fly back to the ground. Then she runs again. She likes that game.

My grill is under at least ten inches of snow right now. If I crank it up, will it melt off? We are supposed to warm up today, plummet way down tomorrow night and then have more warm stuff during the week. That should knock off some of the snow but sure doesn't mean spring around here. I'm trying not to get too excited because we've had some of our biggest snows in March.

Stephanie, we MUST have pictures no matter what the results.

Cottage, come on up here and sit out. I'll even shovel off the deck a bit.

Lori, enjoy the outing with the pups. Disney would love to go along but Jazz is too little to keep up.

Cyndi, I hope you find something wonderful when birding today. I found my Petersen the other day and realize seeing that rose breasted grosbeak was very unusual as they winter in SA! Strange and lost!

Twynn, if you run out of things to "clean-out", my barn needs doing again!

I baked and packaged cookies yesterday without too much sampling. They are ready to be picked up at eight by my neighbour on her way to the Frost Fest two towns over. February is crazy around here with winter events every weekend.

I'm hoping for a peaceful weekend of dog cuddling, sewing and maybe a bit of cooking to replenish my freezer stash.

ETA: Hi Chelby. Too funny about the birds. My two bark at the birds on the feeders but the birds ignore them.

Good morning everyone! I am happy it is the weekend -- we had a fun night out with friends...though I was woken up a little too early by my older daughter!

I need to do shopping and cleaning! Good news, though! I talked to my boss about an earlier schedule for work (7:30 to 3:30) and I am going to start on Monday! I am hoping this gives me more time with my girls, time for making dinner, and even time to walk! We'll see how it goes! (

Stephanie -- GL to your DD -- how exciting!

Lori -- Have a nice walk, I hope I get one today too!

Hi Cottage!

Twinn -- My DH talked about grilling out for tomorrow night -- I hope he does!

Chelby -- Sorry about your plateau -- that is frustrating! Have fun at Jazzercise -- I used to love Jazzercise!

Ruth -- You are so good to not eat as you cook. This is why I almost never make sweets anymore!

Good morning chicks! I had to get up bright and early this morning. DD's GS troop volunteered to help out greeting folks and clearing tables at the Lion's Club breakfast this morning. She should be done by 10, and then I think we'll go do a little mother-daughter shopping. We both need some things and I'll get her to do the groceries with me. DS is at grandma's and DH is out for the day with his buddies. I planned on working on straightening up the office, but if it's as nice as they are predicting, I'll have to change that plan - too nice to stay inside. I'll definitely get in a walk. I was thinking about taking the kids to the movies tonight too. If DS has other plans, then DD and I may see Coraline. Otherwise, I think we'll go see Twilight again and DS can bring a friend and see Valkyrie, which is playing at the same time. Should be a fun day!

Hi Nat's Mom - Your new schedule sounds good - it's nice to have a long evening, especially now that the days are getting longer.
Ruth, I guess everyone is getting a little stir crazy by February.
Chelby and zeff, I haven't tried those blizzards yet, maybe I'll pick up the stuff today. Sounds yummy!
Have a productive day Twynn!
Good luck catching that bird, Cyndi, if you go, that is... Slugging is good too. I made your lentil peanut stew yesterday, yummy.
Hey Steph, hope DD has a wonderful time at the dance. My niece used to use those cutlets to make the dresses fit right, hee.
Loriann, hope the doggies have a fun run.
cottage, sounds like a fun family day. Enjoy!

Ruth - that poor little thing must be freezing! We get them in the summer but they are always out of here in September. We will be pretty close to the border this afternoon. I'll wave

Twynn - This might be the week to break out the grill if it stays up in the 30s. What a great idea!

Chelby - I didn't know juncos went that far south. Sounds like your dog enjoys them

Natalie'smom - Why are weekends always so busy?! Hope you get the things in you need to and a little extra down time.

Okay, off to the far northern reaches of Vermont in search of a cute little owl from further north.

Have a good day everyone

I'll shoo him down to you, Cyndi, although I'll have to drive to Quebec. I didn't know juncos went that far south either.

Liz just came around to pick up the cookies and the rest of the day is unscheduled! The dogs are sweet and relaxed and the only decision I have to make is what to eat for lunch. ** Sigh ** Life is good.

Hiya chix! It's a lovely clear day here !

Steph: pics would be grand! please please post! Good luck to your DD!

Loriann: Have fun with the pups...I really really miss having a dog. We are currently pet sitting my mil's cat while my fil is sick. Penny is a nice wee thing when she wants to be.

Cottage: Mmmm grilled stuff! If you have left overs...could you fed ex them over?

Cyndi: Bird chasin, eh? Y'know if you said that over here, people would think you were looking to pull (bird=girl/lady/chicks in the uk!) !

Twynn: If you're wantin a wee bash at my fridge, you're welcome to it!

Chelby: I was reading something in one of the threads about interval training exercise that is supposed to get you off of plateau. There's nothin more demotivating than plateau...but you'll get there!

Ruth: You are one iron lady! I am a cookie monster...I have kudos for you!! <SALUTE>!

Natsmom: I'm glad your boss was able to work with you about your hours.

Schmoodle: I'm dying to go to the movies! I'm going to make DH take me next weekend if FIL is feeling better.

Bride: Good luck with your housework!

Me! I got the gas bill in this morning. It was a nightmare. Who knew it would cost so much to heat a two bedroom wee flat?! So I phoned them up and gave them another reading (usually they don't really pay much attention to these and strive to over charge me). WELL! Not only have they reduced my monthly direct debit by MORE than half, they are giving me money! ! I am quasi off plan at the moment, shame on me, I know...DH is still stressed about FIL and wants to make this big dinner (God has blessed me with a DH who when stressed enjoys cooking and cleaning.)
So to make a long story short, he wants to make dinner tonight.

Well dollies, TTFN! I gotta get some of this housework done!

Good morning happy Chickies!!! Happy Saturday!

Stephanie - Good luck to your DD, I hope she has a fantastic time tonight!!!

Loriann - Enjoy your day out with the pups. I hope they know how good of a furmom you are!

Cottage - Even though you said you'd be home most of the day, it still seems like you've got a lot on your plate. Hope you're able to make the grill happen for you!

Cyndi - Good luck finding that little owl. I hope he's not hiding too much!

Twynnb - While you're on your 'cleaning out the fridge' tour, care to come out to the west coast and have a take at mine. Good luck getting things done today!

Chelby - Hang in there....I'm kind of in the same boat, I really haven't had significate movement on the scale since the beginning of the year. But I know I can stick with it and eventually I start seeing good results again. Hang tight!

Ruth - Impressive, baking cookies and not sampling! Great work! Hope you're day stays quiet!

Nat's mom - Congrats on the new hours. I'm sure it will make a difference!

Schmoodle - Whatever you find yourself doing today, I hope it's a good time!

Bride - Enjoy your walk and warm weather.

Jenny - Good job with the gas company! Fantastic!!!

Thighs - I only wish I could wear such cute bras. Make sure your girls understand how lucky they are with perky ones

me - Well, we were supposed to have dinner tonight at a restaurant my husband was going to review, but that got rescheduled, so tonight is kind of up in the air. I know I have to go grocery shopping and make some ceviche for brunch tomorrow an get a gift for my mom's bday. Other than those things, I don't quite know what we'll do. But I told myself this morning that I have no excuses to go off plan today.....so I'm going to be good! Wish me luck!
