I'm joining up around here and thought I'd say hello. I've always had eating and diet issues, but never took losing weight seriously--I ate right, but failed to exercise. That changed after being diagnosed with early/mild PCOS earlier this year. My treatment plan involves hormonal birth control and...substantial weight loss. That sure got my rear in gear!
So here I am. I'm hitting the gym often and finding I love it, and changing my diet significantly. My first goal is 130 on my 5'5" frame, which may change when I near it depending on how my body looks/feels, etc. I am not at all wishy washy about reaching my goals, and I look forward to being part of the community.
Hey Hippolyta. You've accomplished a lot so far. congratulations! I'm not familiar with PCOS but if it's anything as icky as other female hormonal problems, I feel for you honey! Hope to get to know you better.
We have a great PCOS/Insulin Resistance forum here, so you might want to check that out. We also have groups by age range or eating plan, so look around, find a spot, and settle in.
After that? Just jump in and keep posting. Can't wait to get to know you better!
