We didn't want to spend a lot on the kids birthday's, so we rented an inflatable waterslide and invited the family over. The kids really enjoyed having the thing all to themselves and played on it from about Noon to 7pm! We grilled and then hung out with the family all evening, it was really nice...
The rest of the weekend we watched dvd's and cleaned - it was a semi-productive weekend. I didn't finish all the laundry, but I got the grocery shopping done... I only call it a successful weekend when I get both done completely, but I got thrown off track by having to do 2 loads of towels from the waterslide!
I ate OK, didn't get all my veggies in over the weekend and substituted water for margaritas and sangria and some sangria margaritas... but no damage done THANK GOODNESS!
We had a great time and thankfully, because of the rain, we had a cabin to stay in rather than a tent.. Danny caught some fish and we just relaxed.. We're both pretty tired still, and Liz got some nasty bruises on her arms thanks to several rousing volleyball games, but all in all, it was REALLY nice to get away...
It is rather quiet around here. Maybe once everyone gets their kids back in school and back on a normal schedule it will pick up. My kid went back last week, but I know the county schools around here went back today.
Nicole - I think that is the correct usage of "Whose"... but don't quote me. both of my younger one's have August birthdays - my DD turned 6 and my youngest DS turned 5 - he was so excited because everyone else at school is 5. My SIL gave him a nintendo DS game and he has been glued to that ever since then! Now my DD is crying because she wants one... she knows all about being able to connect them wirelessly and play the same game together! It's amazing the amount of technology these kids know nowadays!
Hi friends - can't chat much, crazy day. Down a little at WI, so that's a plus. What a gorgeous weekend it was here! Makes me sad that summer is over. DH and I did a lot of stuff around the house and golfed a few times, so it was pretty much low key.
I'm back from Hawaii, and I had a great time, but ate way too many things that I shouldn't have. We hiked to the top of Diamond Head, took a really great sunset dinner cruise that they served a full lobster on, went to the arizona memorial, had some good beach times, and took a few other short hikes as well. Anyway, back to the Blue plan for me, and this time I'm going to really be strict and even stay on plan during the weekends for awhile. At least until I'm back down to where I feel comfortable.
So I am feeling myself slip, a chip here , a spoon of the batter there. I am exercising much more now so I am still seeing positive results. I am 1.5 lbs away from where I was when I left on vacation. I am still on hold from the COD until Mid October. I revised my goal so that I want to lose 20 lbs more than originally so 31.5 lbs more than where I sit today. I only have 4 more weight loss weeks left. I am not fond of the idea of buying more weight loss weeks but..
But I know I NEED the center because what would I do once I reach my goal without them? I am assuming stabilization is different for everyone...
Anyway, I am going to try to post here more often

Reason: Half my post didn't show up
hey everyone. such a late check in for me. we had quite the night last night. my 5yr old DD was with her daddy, brother and cousins for the weekend and i got a call saying that she had broken her arm. she got caught up in a twisty slide and some how broke her upper arm. so we met them at the ER when they got back to see what they could do for her and since it's in such an odd spot, they can't splint or cast it. so she has to wear a sling for the next 4-6wks. she was such a trooper. she didn't cry, or want any pain meds or anything. i was more of a wreck than she was.
so she stayed home from school today and we all hung out and i tried to keep her as comfortable as possible. she wants to go back to school tomorrow, so hopefully we'll get back into a semi-routine. it's been great having my MIL here, but it's hard to keep the kids on with their normal routine when there are visitors.
so yeah..that was the most eventful part of my weekend. other than the all day queasy/nauseated feeling already setting in for the next 9wks or so. ugh. i'm already tired of it. i hate feeling this way.
ok, hopefully i'll be able to check in tomorrow, we'll see.
Jillian - sorry to hear about DD's mishaps...it hurt just reading about it. I have a zero pain tolerane...give me drugs.
Hey Nicole - yes...WHOSE is correct. You would not say WHO IS birthday is it, but you would say WHO'S that lady? or Who is that lady.
OMG - I'm off track - I came on just to say hi after working most of the weekend and just now putting in a 16 hour day. Need I say more! I will update the Thanksgiving challenge. To quote Nicole "I suck at challenges."
Hi Kim - thanks for the check in - congrats on being down a pound. I no longer like you....Just Kidding!!! Keep up the good work.
Bed time so I can get up and work another long day tomorrow. Oh, I started back at boot camp this morning - 5:15 A to 6:15 A outside workout with about 6-7 other ladies signed up for camp...Run a mile, push ups, crunches, overhead presses with squats, lunges, burpees (if you don't know what those eye, they just about kill me!)....I'm a tad sore right now!
Joni, I did bootcamp in July/August. Awesome way to get in shape. Unfortunately I do know what burpees are. LOL! Good for you!
I am up with AM by 3 lbs from yesterday. I totally fel loff the wagon yesterday which has never happened ever before. I was just so hungry. I had a pb sandwich an extra serving of pistachios and chocolate..none of it was on my plan. Today will be a better day!
Some weird things happening with my gastrointestinal system lately... It's really giving me an uneasy feeling..
I've been trying to really keep the carbs to the bare requirements, but have been having some Fiber One cereal in the mornings so I avoid stopping for a breakfast burrito (minus the potato)... By the time lunch rolls around, which is usually a salad of some sort, my stomach is KILLING me and I've got gas like you can't believe.. It only goes away when I have a big(ish) dinner. It's like my body is rebelling against the good foods I'm trying to reintroduce after spending nearly a month away from home and wasn't able to always make good choices...
It might also be the coffee I've been consuming.. Still having two large-ish cups a day, but do you think that's contributing to my stomach pains?
So far so good today.. I've had some egg beaters and an apple... and coffee..
