Hi, My, this post brought back unpleasant memories! ha!! I'm a nurse now and can say it was worth it, but I still remember sitting with my nose in a book for what seemed like forever. I was a late bloomer too, didn't go back to school untill I was 40 and my son was out of school.

Losing weight is always an issure and you want to make a good impression on your patients, don't you? Not be one of those nurses who say "do as I say, not as I do"? I had to lose the weight too. I'm at my goal weight now, but It's still a struggle every day. I am not a normally skinney person, but I think it's worth the effort to be one.

If you want a buddy let me know. Sounds like we have a lot in common

Welcome Reiginggal. I am a cardiac nurse graduated in '05, I remember all about nursing school I finished my BSN in one year. It was a whirlwind! I understand what you are going through with all the medical books. Just remember to review the NCLEX books as you go along. You'll get through it!! The light is at the end of the tunnel. Hope you like your clinicals this semester.

There are many nurses & students around 3FC so you aren't alone. You may enjoy checking out the 50+ Area support group.

But, post wherever you're comfortable and let us all know about your progress.

Best of success!
