I am new here , I am on a mission ((again)) I need to lose weight and have the strength to stay on it and not cheat! I am slowly getting back into the habit of walking and watching my diet! I had huge success with south beach but gained 27 pds. back cheating and making excuses!!! So I am going to go back on that diet with some hopefull support from new friends!
Hi and . . . part of the secret (IMHO) is to lose the diet mentality and the thoughts of cheating that go along with it . . . the only real way to lose the weight (especially when there's a fair bit to be lost) is to realize that you must develop a new lifestyle -- a way of relating to food and exercise that you can do FOREVER.
I'm new also, seconding the advice above. It's about living in a healthy way forever, of course easier said than done. But after a short time the difference in the way you feel will be so great it will be self-motivating.

Welcome! I am new here as well and am looking for big results. I've only been here a day and I already love how supportive everyone is! We have practically the exact same starting and goal weight! I know we can do it!
