Oh man, 1/4 of 2008 is already gone! Time is just FLYING pass! How did everyone do in March?
Eny, Piggin, Dub: we kept last month's thread alive and we can do it again! Front and center!
Dub ~ I'm so sorry about your sweet dog. If I drank, I would raise a drink to her too.
My goal for march was re evaluation and I think I achieved part of that. I'm still doing the evaluation thing (mostly emotional) but I think I've finally found something that works for me. This intuitive eating seems to be it. Time will tell I guess.
We SOO can!! Eny, Dubh, Jasonslea I am feeling so motivated today, lets totally blitz April.
March wasnt so great for me it would seem, I lost 3lbs and then according to the scale today have gained it all back : ( BUT it is TOM so who knows, Im not going to beat myself up about it, if I weigh Monday and there is a big drop, well thats all good!! So I have a few objectives for this month:
To exercise 4 x a week
To eat healthy, balanced meals
To come on here everyday to keep myself motivated!!
Newbie to your group here! I'd like to join your April challenge!
My monthly objectives are:
1. Lose at least 8 pounds in April (but I'd love 10).
2. Follow my marathon training plan.
3. Make healthy food choices and remain binge-free.
4. Maintain a positive attitude.
Dubh: I read your post on the March thread about your dog -- I'm so sorry and I know just how you feel. I've lost two dogs to old age in the last 6 months and it was devastating. It is so painful when we lose these furry sweeties.
girls - i'm not sure what my goals are for the month - I'm focusing on the tape measure instead of the scale. I want to be in single digit clothing. right now I'm a 14/16 - which is the smallest I've been since I got married in 1999! :woo hoo: I'd LOVE to drop to a 12 by my divorce date (June 23) - so i have some work to do!!
I'll be here - I'll keep the thread alive - I'll be shrinking into all the awesome clothes that a friend from work gave me
Tyler - welcome!! Always nice to see a new face, looking forward to getting to know you better!!
Today Im having a pretty good day, eating has been good. Well not PERFECT but no junk.
Breakfast: Bowl porridge
1 nectarine
Super noodles ( 300) 1 white roll with 1 slice cheese
dinner tonight is chicken in low fat sauce and lots of veggies
I need to add to this months objectives, to eat more veggies and fruits also.
Eny - I like the idea of staying away from the scales and concentrating more on clothes sizes. I will be weighing on Monday to keep myself accountable, but i think then it will be a fortnightly weigh in for me.
Excuse my neediness, I always find myself extra clingy when im back on the wagon!! Hope your all having a great day OP!!

Thanks for starting this JasonsLea, and thanks for the toast!
Hello Pigginpodgey, Enygirl, and welcome Tyler Durden. (Nice tag line, cracked me up)
I have found my motivation again, and I feel much better than I have in months. I have no trace of illness, work is still a shambles but I have adopted a ‘f++k it’ attitude, I can’t make people get on, that’s not my job, if people want to leave because they have personal problems with others, go, I will get by.
My goals for this month are to continue the healthy (ish) eating I have adopted over the last couple weeks. More salads, grilled meats, fried food and carbs in moderation.
My exercise goal is to be active 5 days a week. I want to continue my C25k running plan.
My weight loss goal is to get down to 147lbs, I need to drop 7 pounds this month to achieve that.
My headache is still lingering from yesterday, and I ate a honeybun for breakfast, but I've already downed 1L of water and I've resisted the donuts I brought. Knowing my family, they will be gone when I get home.
Hey guys, I've had a good day so far. My run this morning was really good and I've been working in the backyard off and on all day and got lots of weeding and planting and mowing done. Hopefully all that stuff burned up a few extra calories!
Dubh -- I followed the C25K plan two years ago when I picked up running for the first time and it worked great! I was never a runner and honestly never thought I could be until I went through that program. Now it is certainly harder with extra weight I managed to gain and I'm alot slower than I used to be. But it will come back.
JasonsLea - I hope your headache goes away soon! Good job saying NO to the donuts!
Well, the headache lingers (I think it's a mixture of TOM, bad eating, and MASSIVE amounts of soda!) so hopefully a mini detox for the next two days will nip it in the bud. Lots of fruit, water, and green tea.
I had a good eating day yesterday, but i was naughty and didnt go to the gym. Scottish man and I needed to spend some time together, we have both been working sooo much we have been barely seen each other. Tonight I am going though!
I need to stop using scottish man as an excuse as to why i cant lose weight, i do the majority of the cooking so I can control what we eat; so no more excuses there!!! Today still feeling motivated and raring to go!! My goal for this week is to keep going over the weekend, thats usually a problem for me as I slack off. Not this weekend!!
Jasonslea - I hope your headache goes away, I suffer with them around TOM also.
PP: weekends are tough for me too, that's when my husband wants to eat more party food and it is always harder to resist -- particularly if I have any drinks! So far I've managed to eat completely on plan for 21 days so I feel like I'm on a roll.
Today is full of errands and chores for me. We are thinking of replacing all the windows in our house and I've been given the task of shopping/pricing for them. So I'll be spending a good portion of the day at Lowes home improvement store. Plus I need some more plants for my landscaping.
well my girls look right on track - and that's GREAT!
Piggin' - you're allowed to be as needy - that's why we're here!
Tyler - Walking around Lowe's is a GREAT workout! Just use the errand running to your advantage
Shari - My Detoxing is tough - but well worth it! I need to clean my system as well. Just a fresh start to kick start this losing inches thing. TOM will leave soon - and you'll feel a TON better.
Dubh- How's everything on your end?
I'm doing good. I didn't have any pop yesterday. I am allowing myself to have some with lunch today since I'm going out... but only 1 glass! It'll all be good.
Ok - I have a TON of work to do - so here's some and I'll check in later!
Okay...I am back. For real this time!! lol. I want to lose about 4 pounds this month. The two i put back on and two more for april. My goal for april is to weigh 132 by my birthday...which happens to be April 28th. :-) If i could hit 130 that'd be great but i'm only working towards 132. And i want to excersize at least 4 times a week. I may try to start walking on my lunch break but we'll have to see how that goes. I hate getting all sweaty and having to come back in and stink. I joined another goal to try to jog/walk 50 miles in a month. not sure how that will work out since i go to gym class 2 or 3 times a week...but we'll see. I can still try. Good luck everyone.
Weed for today:
W-64 ounces
E- 1200 calories
E- 2 1/2 mile jog/walk
D- just focus on each day as a new day.
