Default 30 Something Daily Chat: FRIDAY(!!) March 28th

Just a quick swing by to say HI.

Totally fallen off any sort of plan I had. Can't seem to hang on for more than a couple days; think that all my willpower goes into keeping myself moderately under control (emotionally) at work.

In about a week's time, I'll be off to the sunny south for about 2 weeks of vacation. FINALLY.

Maybe once I get back, I'll be able to get motivated. If anyone wants to get a hold of me, I don't know how often I've been reading the message board. (Like I said - TOTALLY fallen off the plan, worse than evah.) If you have well wishes or loves or kicks in the butt you want to send my way, best to send me a PM. That'll at least trigger an email.

All the best, ladies.

woohoo...welcome back roo. Always nice to see you stop by. Hang in there.

Everyone at work loved my hair. They all thought i was good. Things at work are going pretty good. They have an office manager from another location coming 2-3 days a week to help me. She's great. However, I think some of the petnurses are going to have issues. I told her i'm willing to make changes for the better. I think a few of the petnurses are not up for change...but if that's the case...they need to get the heck out. I'm trying to make EVERYONE's job easier (but most importantly mine LMAO).

Alright all..i'm off. Hope everyone has a good day.

HULLOOO!!! Happy FRIDAY everyone !! We made it through another week!
What are everyone's plans for the weekend? As far as I know all we really have planned is our friends wedding tomorrow night, and we still don't have a babysitter secured! I am starting to get worried that we may not find one this late in the game.
I was gonna ask yall, how often do you step on the scale? I need to put it up. I just sits on the bathroom floor between my sink and dh's sink and it is tempting to step on it everytime you walk past... I felt really good yesterday. The scale hasn't moved, BUT I have notice a big difference in how my clothes fit!! It is a good feeling!
Well gotta get the girls off to school and get to my work out. Will check in later!
Have a good day!

RoosterDude! You're alive!! Sounds like a sweet vacation coming up ~ lucky duck:-).

GG ~ You go Girl. It's time to kick some can... I'm glad that things are going better. I LOVE your haircut. Very cute.

I'm off with DS field trip today. His grade raised over $1400.00 for a homeless shelter. We're shopping at Target for them this morning and then delivering the stuff after lunch. Each grade level supports some sort of charity. DD's supports the Humane Society so that trip will be next month. Talk to everyone later ~ Joan

Good Morning!

Kids are all still in bed, so I have a few quiet moments to myself before the battle begins. I hate when DH is on nights its so hard to keep the little ones hushed, but with all of them on Spring Break its CRAZY!!!!!

I'm working out everyday, but my eating is still soooo messed up. I do well for most of the day and then it goes to h-e-l-l. I feel like such a mess right now. I really need to go to the Dr. and get some blood work done to rule out the sugar or thyroid thingy.

Rooster, so glad you're back, I'm totally with you on the emotional thing, it has to get better, right????????? Hope your vacation is awesome!

Joan, That is Fantastic!! Its great that the kids are allowed to raise $ for others at school.

Steph, I was weighing myself 1x/2weeks, cause your body fluctuates so much that I didn't want to discourage myself then I started weekly and now I haven't at all lately because I know the news is bad. So, right now the way I'm looking at it is, No news is good news. Seriously though, I think if you weigh yourself 1x/2weeks that should be good if you can tell a difference in how clothing is fitting, thats they best way to feel pumped up about your loss.

Gotta go, need some quiet time with God before the kids get up and I forget that there is one. Trish

Rooster, a vacation sounds great! Maybe a change of scenery will help change your perspective on the diet.

Stephanie, were you talking about the Ft worth stock yards? I think my sil said something about going on an egg hunt there last week and they ran out of eggs...was wondering if that was what you had mentioned. Clothes fitting better is always great news and a better indicator than the scale. I've come to know the scale is evil, lol. But it is good to keep us in check, maybe once a week.

Joan, sounds like a wonderful idea. Does the whole class get to go to Target and buy stuff?

Trish, hope you are doing better. Spring Break is almost over. That does stink to have no help with DH working nights, sleeping days. Any news on your recumbant bike?

Hanna, are you getting the new pup today? How is Coco. So glad to hear about Sean!

Not alot going on here today. I have a headache, but I know I need to get some stuff done around the house before the weekend! Oh and guess what, when I was walking last night my leg started up again. UGGG! I really feel silly going to a dr about it though.

It's a lovely day here today, I have the front window opened and am enjoying the breeze.

Hope all have an excellent Friday!

Good morning everyone. Nothing exciting going on here. It's gray and dreary outside, the forecast calls for thunderstorms. I think we are staying in.

Has anyone been to see "Horton Hears A Who"? We have a dinner cinema nearby so we are going to take the kids to a matinee for lunch and a movie tomorrow.
Roo: Good to see you. The vacation sounds fab. Hope it's a lot of fun and very relaxing.

GG: Sounds like you are on the way to getting work situated. I hope it goes smoothly for you. I'm going to go look for your new do pic!

Stephanie: Good luck finding a babysitter! It is always so stressful around here now that MIL is no longer allowed to sit. I found out that one of the instructors in Alex's karate class babysits so I may be calling her up! Congrats on the better fitting clothes.

Irish: Have fun shopping. That sounds like an awesome project.

Trish: Ugh, I would hate to have to keep the little quiet all day. Luckily our playroom is in the basement, so it's doable, just not a lot of fun.

Alicia: Enjoy your spring breezes! The fresh air sounds nice. I can't wait until it's warm enough to open the windows here. I'm ready to air out the house!

OK, off to tackle some housework! Have a great Friday!

Hi All,

Popping in quick...ROO, have a great vaca! You deserve it! And when you come back, look for a new job!! ---A little of both!

Joan, (and others) I guess I am very fortunate to have a husband that helps out ALOT! He does a lot of the laundry, get the boys bags packed every AM, cooks dinner often. I actually, truthfully, should say he probably does more than I do! But we do things very differently, our ideas of cleaning are complete opposite of each other. But it works. I will say though, I agree with Pam & moto, I get more done this way than when I was home! I am a total slacker when I'm home, like out of work. I don't have the boys, they stay in daycare, so there's nothing stopping me from doing stuff, except for the fact that I sit in my jammies a good part of the day and watch tv and surf the internet. I'm soooo not a SAHM! Not that I wouldn't like to be able to sit around all day and have someone else do the work, but this is reality.

My salt abuse this week has me up a couple pounds, which I am definitely NOT happy about, so I'm on the wagon today.

Good afternoon everyone! I hope you've all had a good week.

I just finished up doing a 4 mile Leslie Sansone walk. Have an appt with my personal trainer later today. I also found a great weight training routine in a magazine yesterday. It pretty much targets EVERYTHING! Going to add that in to my routine twice a week.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hey Alicia, We didn't take the kids to the egg hunt at the stock yards. We went to the one that the town we live in puts on each year at the park. I didn't even know that the stock yards were putting on an egg hunt! Too bad for the kids that they ran out of eggs! Hope that they weren't too disappointed.
Christina, I was going to buy a new outfit for the wedding we are going to tomorrow, but I started trying on dresses, one of my least favorite things to do is try on clothes, and I didn't like the way I looked in any of them. I get so frustrated clothes shopping. I see cute things on the rack then try them on and feel.. ugh. So, I will just wear something i have in the closet and save the shopping for this summer. Hopefully I will feel more comfortable in my skin by then!
Hanna, have fun with the new pup! I will have to brainstorm some names for ya!
SH, what magazine did you find the work out in? I am gonna need some new ideas for work outs so I don't get bored with the same-old-same-old.
Gotta do some cleaning...
Steph

Hey guys!

DH is home today - so off schedule and just getting on to post. I have a get-together tonight with some other gals.

Hi Rooster! Have a great time -are you going on a cruise?
Stephanie - Hope you were able to find a sitter. I am still looking for one where we moved... That's great about the clothes fitting differently.
Joan - how was the class trip? Sounds like a great thing for the kids to do.
Alicia - hope you are feeling better...
Hanna - have fun with the puppy for the first day!
Heather - which 4 mile walk do you have? I have a really old tape of Leslie's when it was called WalkAerobics! Total late 80's clothes and everything.

Hi Lauren, Patricia, Karen, Christina and Trish.

Have a great night!

Ladies, I'm jealous, DH's who do laundry and dishes? I refer to mine as domestically challenged. Once he forgot to take DS to daycare, didn't remember till he was halfway to work. When I'm not home, he takes his laundry to have it done......

Hanna, maybe Versace or something, lol. Just to go along with your theme.

I have had a killer headache today. I am out of advil now, so I'm hoping it doesn't come back before I get more. I didn't get any workout in today, after I mopped, I had to come and lay down.

Hope all have a super weekend! Blue hair girl is coming to spend the night -I think, should be interesting. Soccer in the morning and that's about it on this end!

Talk later, Alicia
