Default Getting back on track...

Hi folks,

I keep dropping in and out of the forum, but I wanted to tell someone that I am having a great day and week. I got back on the wagon so to speak – back in the gym!!!

Honestly, it feels like I never left. I am trying to take it easy, but it is hard! I want to get back in my mode, but I’m so out of shape and I can’t afford to have an injury, so easy does it. Yesterday I did 30 min of fairly intense cardio (around 60-65% of my max heart rate) and a full leg workout. I’m happy to be back…I just hope I can/will keep it up!!

Food has been fantastic - mainly b/c I'm making an extra effort to prepare foods everyday that will keep me eating stuff I feel good about. Using some shortcut products from Whole Foods that aren't necessarily "healthy" but are reasonable and tasty has also helped. I buy their yellowfin tuna salad and split pea soup and miso soup packets and hummus instead of making my own. That gives me some good lunch options quickly. Anyway, I hope all are well here. Thanks for listening!

The gym is a great first step Before you know it you'll be back in that groove where things are natural and easy...just keep going, those nice periods are always around the corner.

Good for you!

I think getting started is always the hardest part, whether it's starting for the first time or starting over again for the 100th time.

It sounds like you've definitely got your head in the right place, and you've made lifestyle changes that you can live with. Way to go!
