Hello everybody, My name is Jan and I am so new to this kind of thing. I read about somebody in our local paper who lost a lot of weight doing an on line thing so I thought I would give it a try.
I have been overweight my whole life, but in the last year have gained 55 lbs. I need help and support from people who know how I feel.
I am a late night eater and stuff myself. any support would be deeply appreciated. Thanks and good luck to all. Jan
Online support can be SO helpful, whether you need some motivation, some new recipes, a strategy for handling a tough situation, or just a kick in the pants. 3FC is a great place for all of those things!
Do you know what sort of plan you will be following? Look around, find a spot, and settle in. I can't wait to get to know you better!
Hello, I have also never posted on anything like this before either, but I am looking for ways to stay motivated in my quest for a healthier year. I was going to joing the Biggest Loser online thing but it is not free. While searching for resources on line I came across this and it seems great. I will be starting officially on Mon the 7th.
Hi Jen! Welcome! As for the late-night eating - I feel for you. I, too, am a late-night muncher. I love to have sweets before bed. I've taken to doing one of two things to satisfy this. 1 - I'll have a single piece of biscotti with some herbal tea (orange spice is wonderful). 2 - I'll have a big bowl of fruit (watermelon, orange - something with a lot of water that will fill me up).
I go to bed around midnight, and I have my snack at 9:00 while I watch TV for an hour. That's another trick. Try to cut back on your TV time. I find that I like to snack while watching TV. I only watch an hour of it a day (from 9 to 10 in the evenings). That's when I have my one and only snack. The biscotti with the tea is very filling and you can munch on it for a while, taking little bits and washing it down with tea.
