Smile Hello from the Frozen Trundra!

Hello all!
I am new here, but not new to the fight!!
I have been struggling with weight loss since 1992, when I was 17 and a new mom. I gained 75 pounds during my pregnancy, thanks to my love affair with potato chips, Sara Lee Cheesecakes, New York Vanilla ice cream and the couch. I was depressed, obviously. I am an emotional eater, and when frustration hits, to the nearest drive through I go.
I have lost it all once; back in 2000, I reached 139 pounds. I am part of the statistic, as I obviously gained it all back and then some.
I am looking forward to making some new friends, giving and getting support, learning new tricks and enjoying some laughs with you all!
Here's to the year we all do it!!
Sharon

Wow, your story sounds a lot like mine. 75 pound pregnancy, 8 pounds lighter when I left the hospital. Good luck in getting it down again and keeping it there. You can do it!

Oooh...cheesecakes. Back evil fiend!

Good luck with your weight loss quest. If you did it once, you can do it again. And this time you can keep it off with support from all the wonderful people here. Welcome!

Hi there!
I'm waving at you from the Rainy Tundra (Oregon)! I lived in Wisconsin when I was a little girl.

My struggle with weight gain (and loss and gain) began after I had children, too. I mananged to return to my pre-preg. weight with my 1st three but then we had 3 more and I haven't been able to get this weight off. I've been doing weight watchers for over a year and lost 45 pounds but regained 20 over the holidays. I'm going to start medifast this week. I am determined to let this weight goooooo!

Hello! I am new on here too. I am wanting to get to a place where I am happy with my body before turning the big 30. I will turn 29 in Feb and would like to be in really good shape in a year just in case I freak out when leaving my 20's behind I have gained about 15-20 lbs in the last year, mainly as a result of eating out and not enough activity, so my goal for the new year is to really focus on being fit and strong rather than skinny.
