I am new here, but not new to the fight!!
I have been struggling with weight loss since 1992, when I was 17 and a new mom. I gained 75 pounds during my pregnancy, thanks to my love affair with potato chips, Sara Lee Cheesecakes, New York Vanilla ice cream and the couch. I was depressed, obviously. I am an emotional eater, and when frustration hits, to the nearest drive through I go.
I have lost it all once; back in 2000, I reached 139 pounds. I am part of the statistic, as I obviously gained it all back and then some.
I am looking forward to making some new friends, giving and getting support, learning new tricks and enjoying some laughs with you all!
Here's to the year we all do it!!

Sharon

Wow, your story sounds a lot like mine. 75 pound pregnancy, 8 pounds lighter when I left the hospital.
Good luck in getting it down again and keeping it there. You can do it!
I have gained about 15-20 lbs in the last year, mainly as a result of eating out and not enough activity, so my goal for the new year is to really focus on being fit and strong rather than skinny.
