Default help with finding a good elliptical

I need to invest in an elliptical, but something under $500. My only real issue is finding one that will fit in my house. We have a very tight living space right now and no real spot to put this thing. So it will basically have to be pushed up against a wall most of the time and moved into the center of the room when it's exercise time. I've tried to find the fold-away kind, but they only seem to be those Gazelle-type machines, which I hate. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good, compact elliptical that might be easy to keep out of the way?

Any elliptical that i have ever seen that is compact and lightweight was not worth buying because they are basically made of inferior material. They are not made of heavy-duty material...so they cant take the constant pounding that an elliptical has to endure.
I had a Rebok elliptical and it was heavy duty but very bulky and VERY heavy to move around. I wouldnt recommend it anyway, as it broke after about 200 miles. Not a good investment for $600 machine.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the workout i get with an ellpitical so i know where you are coming from. With space being an issue, i dont know if any of them would be worth it for you.

Honestly,

If you are looking for an elliptical for under $500, I recommend not getting an elliptical. All the ellipticals that I've seen for under $1000 seem to break easily and are flimsy. I would recommend looking either for a treadmill or an exercise bike if that is your budget.

Thanks for the advice. Maybe I will try a treadmill instead.

I can't personally vouch for it, but there is a Horizon Fitness elliptical on Amazon for $549 as a Friday Sale special, and it has free shipping. The model folds up so it wouldn't take up much space. Horizon Fitness is supposed to be a good brand.
