Hello! I am Meggan, 28 years old and invited to join this site by some dear friends I had too long ago on a different site. I took my time coming over here to check it out Not sure why I was dragging my feet so long...

A bit about me...I recently finished my Master's program and have returned 'home'...and have fallen right back into many of my old (awful) habits...pretty much predicted this would happen You would think I would learn from my mistakes...

I am in the beginning stages of insanity... I know what I have to do, I have the resources to do it, I have the desire to be successful...what I lack is the mental/emotional support...I have reached the point of no return...and I need help

I am going on vacation next week and hope to have everything set up so when I return (11 days later ) I will be able to settle into a new (vastly improved) lifestyle...

My challenges (and triggers) are fast food joints...If I could never step foot in one of THOSE again I would be a slender, healthy woman...but alas...I have no will power and that is what I hope to gain from the wonderful women on this site...the will power (and occasional harsh yet constructive advice...reality check ladies...I need a reality check...) to be the woman I know I am on the inside...the one that I see when I think of myself...the one that is hiding in the reflection I get so caught off guard from every time I look in the mirror...I am stuck inside this other persons body and while it has suited me well all these years, it is time to unveil the real Meggan...

I know what you mean by the reflection in the mirror. I'm new, too and need all the support I can get. There are so many success stories here, that it's hard not to get motivated! Welcome! And I look forward to getting to know you.
