Hi Jenn!! Well last month I had trouble with a muscle pull so had to lay off a but toward the end, still wound up at 1260 so not too bad I guess. My previous 2 months were in the 2000 zone though!

I will set a goal for 1500 this month.

HAPPY OCTOBER all!

I've gotten off plan and need to get back into the groove of exercising. Now that my MP3 is up and running, let's rock and roll! I'm going for a starter 600 mins this month, consisting mainly of dance aerobics and yoga (yes YOGA! hopefully I won't hurt myself....or anyone else!)

Default Exercise Challenged!

Hi! I was the last post for September. Not sophisticated enough technically to post a link to it, but that's where I intro'd myself. Seeing as I 'joined' you there less than an hour before October started, I looked you up (Thanks, dustcatcher!) and am joining you here.

I've been eating pretty sensibly (for the most part)--but I haven't exercised for WAY TOO LONG.

My goal? Simply put, to exercise at least every other day. I haven't been exercising at all for months, so this represents real effort on my part. I can work it up once I get back in the habit.

My "bike" is a PRO FORM 770-S. I keep my records according to what its readout says. It goes by Distance/Calories/Time. Don't know if it's measuring miles or kilometers, I just note the numbers. Here goes:

Oct.1: 7.03/339 calories/57 minutes

Thanks!

HI everyone. I'm glad to see everyone here!!!
Last month I wasn't quite where I wanted to be, Im still trying to get used to the 12 hour shifts/workouts/babysitting. . . Anyhow I didn't work out yesterday (my 4th 12 hour day in a row, plus I babysat my nephew) I'm off today and I plan on working out tonight plus I am going to try and do weights and pilates while my son is napping. Starting next week I am going to start volunteer coaching a class at the Y, the official coach is too pregnant to do the activities and asked DH and I to do the physical part of the class ! The class teaches kids 2-5 year olds the fundamentals of sports: basketball, soccer, baseball, football, frisbee, kickball, running. . . there are usually 6-8 kids in the class and its 2 times a week an hour long!

I didn't do too bad today. I've been drinking apple juice instead of pop, and I feel like I've already noticed a difference. I did pretty good today with the food. I had fish for lunch, along with a salad. I also did 45 minutes of exercise, and I didn't get bored. Yay!

JasonsLea, girlonamission, fatTOfitvirgo, welcome! : ) nice to see you all.

Dustcatcher, congrats on exceeding your goal last month!

Jeni, yowsa! THat's quite the schedule you have there, busy indeed! I think it's great that you and dh are going to be coaching a class at the Y for the kiddies!

As for me, I have gotten a couple of walks in the past few days but want to work towards my former shedule of including aerobics as well at some point as I need the upper bod workout too. I may be going up to NH for a few days next week but if I do I will be getting in plenty of walking and I will keep a journal so that I can post upon my return. Have a super weekend everyone

10/3 - 30 minutes (walk)
10/4 - 45 minutes (walk)

I am in for the challenge again.
I am starting late though....just returned last night from a vacation to Disney with the family...so, I am going to clock 2 hrs of walking for every day we were there. We left our hotel around 9:00am each day, and didn't hit the pillows until midnight. Tonnes of walking, swimming, standing, eating (but that's for another thread).
Great to see everyone back!!
Oct 1...120 minutes
Oct 2...120 min
Oct 3...120 min
Oct 4...120 min
Oct 5...60 min
Oct 6...nothing...but the day isn't over yet!!
