Good morning! I woke to a coyote/Portie chorus around four this morning. I think they were coyotes - we do have four-legged wolves around here. I'm sure about the dog part though because the Girls looked very guilty when I went down to the kitchen.
Rain was supposed to happen overnight but they were wrong again! My gardens are dry as bone and I just may have to water. The basil is ready for picking and made into pesto. Anybody else make pesto? I love it and it's OP!
Not much on the list today aside from pet therapy late this afternoon with Hershey. I need to sort and print out some pictures for the Opening Doors thingie at the Church this Saturday and should finish roughing in my new canvas I started at class yesterday.
Good morning! Mm.. pesto! I love it but have never had much success making it myself. Sounds yummy though! We got all the rain here and should be getting it for the next few days. It's the first time it's rained here in about a month! We've gotten drizzles but nothing good.
I just hope the rain eases up by the end of the week. We have a long weekend from school for the new year so I'm going camping for 2 nights in Southern NH and hiking up Mt. Monadnock which is something I've always wanted to do. This will be my first time camping that wasn't a Girl Scout activity so I am just hoping it won't rain!
Our long promised rain finally came through, and it's supposed to be showery all day. We really need it, I'm sure my garden is rejoicing! It hasn't cooled things off, though.
I make pesto often, it's so easy to make! I love it spread over tomatoes and broiled, and it's great on fish, too.
Allie, I hope you get to go hiking up Mt. Monadnock, that sounds like so much fun! Are you climbing all the way up?
I don't have anything planned for today, just taking it as it comes. I may make some chili in the crockpot before I go in to work. It may turn out to be just a rare lazy day.
Hello Good morning gals! (It's afternoon for me). I've been working a lot, haven't spent much time on my computer, and do not see much chaange in my schedule...Oh well... I'll post when I get on my computer, even though it may not be regular...
Ruth: OOoh I love pesto! bugs have eaten my entire crop of basil though
Allie: I LOVE camping! I used to camp a lot when I lived in the States. Have fun!
Cottage: Lucky you! We are desperate for rain here. Pesto on fish sounds great!
Everyone else yet to check in: Have a great day!
Me: I had a great trip to Nasik, India's wine country. Some great wines out there. It was very relaxing, beautiful time of year there.
Gotta go back to work...
We got pummeled yesterday with rain as well. Have of our kids were on a field trip and the other half go today. I am crossing my fingers for no rain as it is at an Outdoor Learning Center and we hike rain or shine. It is my birthday today, so I am confident it will be a lovely day!
I miss you chicks.... I hate not having time to post once I go back to work. It is all I can do to pee somedays!!
Ruth, I hope you get some rain! And yum...pesto! I've never made it from scratch, I bet it tastes heavenly!
charolastra00, here's wishing you no rain for your camping trip!
Cottage, hope you get your lazy day!
Indigal, I love visiting wineries in Virginia. I bet the ones in India must be amazing! Did you take any pictures you could post?
Kiko, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Me, working on a logo redesign at work...I've never designed a logo, and I'm finding it to be quite a challenge. I wish I could take my computer outside...being creative on the spot at a desk is proving to be difficult (or at least that's my excuse!)
Going to try to make it to the gym tonight for kickboxing. Willpower dust anyone?
Morning everyone! Nice cool day today, almost feels like fall! Opened my windows this morning, I luuuuuv having them open so much more than the AC.
Ruth I have never had pesto, but there is a first time for everything! I finally had spaghetti squash for the first time last night.....luuuuuv it!
Allie Sounds like a fun weekend hope the rain stays away for you!
Indi Good to see you back! Looks like you are doing well. Keep up the good work!
Kiko Happy Birthday!
Betty I think we all wish we could work outside! Good luck with your redesign. We are looking at doing a big advertising campaign and my creativity leaves alot to be desired thank goodness for creative people like you!
Me Just hoping for a productive day, I have about 20 loans that need closed by the end of the month and only 14 working days to do it in, the odds are against me, and the pressure from the boss is a bit overwhelming! He promises me he is going to hire someone but that these have to be closed first, I can't seem to make him understand the 2 don't go hand in hand when my work load is so high.
Enough of my troubles, hope you all have a great day, I will check in later when I need to clear my mind a bit! Willpower dust to all!
Good morning to everyone! Camping sounds like fun. I'm trying to talk DH into going sometime in the next month, but it's still in the 90s down here during the day so he's reluctant to commit to spending any time outdoors. (city boy, snicker)
I wish our garden had done better this year. All I got was a ton of little red chili peppers. Everything else was washed out in a huge rainstorm. I really need to invest in some raised beds.
Here's wishing everyone a productive (or fun non-productive) day!
Happy Birthday Kiko! And good morning to everyone else. I hope your day is wonderful and marks a smooth transition into Wednesday (when we'll be 1/2 way to the weekend again---yay!).
It rained here too, and now it's surprisingly cool. But I guess that's because summer is almost over. Fall means soups and there's nothing like a veggie-ful soup on a cool day. Yum.
Happy Birthday Kiko!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT's your day you are a princess!
Ruth I love Pesto!! I tried to make it but Didn't have any nuts DH pronounced it "leafy"
INdi WB would LOOVE to see pics of India
Charo that sounds awesome I'd love to go camping!!
Cottage I hope you get your lazy day
Betty Good luck I alwys want to take my computer outside!!
Pacer Take a deep breath and maybe we can have Betty Kickbox your Boss!
Dixie Those peppers sound yummy!! I used to live in N florida!! In Lake City and indeed I have been to Dixie
ME: I sent a bunch of resumes and coverletters out I have pretty much had it here and if I don't get something before my vacation I'm quitting after it regardless. I can't take it ANYMORE
So I have all my SBD friendly food and I passed up chocolate and pastry at the cafe next door so so far I'm ahead of the game!!
Let's hope the day goes fast!
kier

Ruth: Oooh! Can you make some pesto for me? My basil "crop" didn't take this year and we can't get fresh here. I bet your homemade is ten times better than our store-bought! Hope you get some rain!
Allie: Sounds like a lot of camping fun for you this weekend. Hope it doesn't rain!
Cottage: That pot of chilli sounds like it would hit the spot today. It's cold and drizzly/foggy here. Enjoy your lazy day. I'm VERY envious!
indigal: I'm glad your trip to Nasik was nice. I didn't know India produced wine. Do they export to the states? I'd love to try a glass!
Betty: Here's some for us to share! I need it too! Hope you find the inspiration you need to finish that logo! How do you like the new job?
Kiko: I hope it stays clear for your special day!
Pacer: Argh! I keep telling my boss the same thing! I can't do things if he won't let me hire someone else, but my deadlines are all the same! Hope your's wises up soon!
Dixie: We have the opposite problem. My DH is such an "ole hand" that he balked at the idea of getting a tent. Last year he tried to get me to sleep on a bed roll on the ground with it was 28*F outside. (I ended up in the truck!) Good luck getting him to camp! Trust me, it's so much better to be too hot than too cold!
Liannie: I agree - love hot soup on cold, rainy days! Have a great one!
,missmess, hope the meetings are good!
Kier: WTG passing up the pastries and good luck finding a new job!
SandStripedcj: Glad you're back on your feet. Hope you continue to get better!
ME: This morning was a fiasco. DH and I got into a fight about $$ and we left for work ! See, I do the finances and have the month budgeted to the last dollar, but about every two months he tells me something he needs $$ for. It happened last night but didn't blow up until this morning. We're okay now, but I'll tell you -- if it wouldn't affect our credit I'd just leave the budget for a few months so he could learn how to do it!
I don't weigh in until Sat, but am down another # since this past Saturday. I've finally figured out how to balance my meds and doc thinks I'll lose more consistently from now on. I have blood work next week and that will determine if we have to increase my dosage or not. I hope not. It was such a pain in the to get used to it the first time around.
Well, time to get to work again. I think my piles are finally starting to get smaller! Yippeee!
Hope everyone is having a great day. Me just trying to get into a new routine, and it is not that easy. I start TOPS tonight, which has me shoving everything into my mouth. I am sure I will updating my ticker tomorrow and going with just their scales. Well I hate to dash but I have dishes to do, supper to organize and then off to the bus stop and of course it is a rainy day. Have a great one chicks.
Sand I hope you're feeling Better
Kim I honestly think Men have no idea how to viably use money to love other than buying toys! or things they "need" I'm glad things are back to normal and your pile is getting smaller!
LC Let us know how Tops Goes. Two thing I like with WW is the accountability and hearing other peoples experiences. Tomorrow you start with a clean Slate!
