OK, today should be the 1st day of Phase TWO for me…….but I’ve only lost a total of 7lbs in the first two weeks. Granted, I have done NO exercise (I’ve got to get over to the gym to register still), so should I go ahead and start Phase TWO, or should I continue on Phase ONE for more time???
I would go on to phase 2. You have lost a wonderful amount of weight! Phase 1 is to overcome the cravings. You need the nutrition of phase 2 foods so I wouldn't stay on it any longer. Just read the stickies in the FAQ section about how to add phase 2 foods gradually.
Congratulations on losing those 7 pounds, that's great! By all means, go on to Phase 2. Just add things in gradually and read the stickies in the FAQ section, as Barb suggested.
I have lost only 3 lbs. so far on P1. Wednesday marks the day I would start on P2. Should I stay on P1 for a couple more days? I've been drinking tons of water, eating my lowfat cheeses, ff yogurt, salads and bunless grilled chicken sandwiches, broccolli, etc. Still down only 3 lbs. Any suggestions????
Go onto phase 2 and start walking! When I did this before, I would lose 2-3lbs a week without exercise and 4-5 lbs per week when I walked 20-30 min, 3-4x/wk. A little trick dh and I did, phase 2 for lunch and phase 1 for dinner, that way we would burn the carbs from lunch, and still benefit from phase 1 before bed. Good luck
Don't worry about starting Ph2. You will continue to lose. Ph2 Beginning is going to seem a lot like Ph1 with a serving of starch or grain once a day. Read the advice on this forum and add back slowly, one thing at a time, with a week between each addition. I really think this is the most important thing about making the transition between phases.
