Good Morning,

It's 6am, and dark as midnight out there! My mind is telling me to go back to bed, but I have to be at Cindy's by 8. I'm going to sit here and try to pry my eyes open with a cup of Jake's coffee and think about what the girls and I are going to do on this soggy gloomy day.

Good Morning!
It's 5 here and I'm doing the same, slugging back some coffee and chickory trying to let my eyes focus and get some work done before I have to go get ready for school. I try to work for an hour or so each morning so there is not so much to do when I get home from job 1.

I woke up in the middle of the night with an itch on my hip where the thigh bone connects. I was so exited..when I went to scratch it, I actually felt a bone!! Guess it's the work on the treadmill. Kind of sore this morning, I put the angle up on the treadmill yesterday and did 10 minutes more than last time, but it's a good sore. The sore could also have something to do with sitting in a little kid chair at school yesterday cutting out 300 nametags I laminated. I discovered one of the tv channels' web sites has reruns on it, so I can watch tv and cut at the same time to keep from falling asleep. I don't start teaching till the day after labor day, so I am making name tags for the desks and cleaning up the computers and installing software.

Ya'll have a great day!!

Cat, That sounds like a pleasant way to spend the day, making name tags. At least you can enjoy a diversion to help pass the time. Your teaching job sounds like fun, I always regretted not going into the teaching profession, but I picked the next best thing. Congratulations on your "discovery"!

Cottage Sorry to hear that it is going to be another gloomy day there. Do the girls like playdough? That always entertains my kids for hours and the cleanup isn't so bad, because if you let the playdough harden a bit it is easy to sweep. Cheap too!

Femme Isn't it hard to get back into a routine? You teach computer classes, right?

Me- I am SO tired! After putting in a full day, I went back up to school when DH got home from work until 11:00. You must know that I am not much of a nightowl, so to be up at until 11:30 and back up at 5:15 is a lot for me! I have my first full-fledged meeting with this team today, and am pretty nervous. There is a lot that needs work, and I am not sure they realize it! Plus, half of the team is new (to the team, not the school), so I want to be on my game and organized!

The girls actually did great yesterday morning, it was last night that about did me in- pure exhaustion, tears, drama, you name it.

Good news is that my ticker weight is truthful after a weekend of eating whatever I want! Bad news is the TV that DH has had for well over 15 years has finally died. We are a one TV household.... and do watch it pretty regularly. I just laughed and told him that we probably need to be reading more anyway!

Gotta jet.... love ya gals!! Think Kara is okay? Maybe just caught up with wedding stuff?

Morning chicks. I was missing in action yesterday, but TOM arrived and had me pretty much wiped out. I sat around with a heating bag to my belly all day and the had to soak in the tub, thank goodness my dd was home to watch the kids. It was bad, today I am feeling better, still alittle tired but better.

Cottage- Good morning. You early bird it is 7:40 here and I am trying to get my eyes open, thank goodness for tea. Have a great day with the kiddies, we are having sun again today.

Femme- Congrats on the hip bones, what a fab feeling. Have a great day getting school stuff ready. I too wish that I had of gone down the teaching route.

Me- Not to much, although I had a huge flock of geese that flew over my house this morning, wish I had my camera, it was pretty cool. I do have to try to start getting organized for school to start, I always like to do a big clean and change the playroom around, I have to start clearing out the little spare room I have to make it into a girls clubhouse a place for them to play barbies and pollypockets where the boys won't intrude.

HAVE A GREAT DAY

As the mornings gt darker, I am slower to get moving! I wish I'd sleep later though - 5:20 is too darned early! The house was cold this morning and the furnace turned on!

My dogs are exhausted after the time at the Hyper Pypers. They were able to run free and chase cats and pigeons and missed their usual daytime naps! Hersh is getting older, I'm afraid - she used the steps to get into the pool rather than her usual flying leap. Lucy managed to swallow a frog, threw up and watched the poor confused frog hop away! That was good for a wet-your-pants laugh!

So this is a four day week for me with tons of stuff to get done. The tomatoes are really producing but I am going to deal with them later in the week when rain is predicted. (Think salsa!) Today will be a bit of gardening, laundry and catching up on emails and bills. There's a wedding to work on too. I am doing the flowers and pew decorations. (The bride's colours are white, green and black but she's getting just white and green in flowers. I refuse to spray my beautiful blooms black! It's not like she's paying me!)

All the talk of getting school underway is giving me my usual antsy feeling about a new year starting. I guess going to school and teaching for so many years programmed me! Maybe I'll go out today and buy a new lunch box and a pencil case.

Time to make a decent breakfast - zucchini omelet? - and plan today's menu.
Maybe this is the week my ticker will move.

I'm feeling a little more awake now, after 3 cups of coffee!

Kiko, I can send you a TV, we have 5 of them, too. One isn't even plugged in. The girls like to play with playdough but they're getting bored with almost everything by now. It's time to go back to school! Maybe we'll get out the Perler beads today.

I hope you are feeling better today, LC. Thank goodness those days are behind me, and I don't miss them at all!

I guess Lucy didn't care much for the taste of frog, Ruth? Glasses must be much tastier! Have fun doing the flower arrangements, I was going to suggest just using black ribbon on them, but that just sounds wrong to me. Black?

Has anyone been watching Fat March on TV? I probably wouldn't be watching it, except for the fact that that's the show that used Cindy's farm for a rest stop. That was back in May, though, and I don't remember any of the participants that I talked to. I think maybe next week's episode will show our area? It will be in the march between Phila. and Lancaster, and I'm eager to see how much of the farm area they show.

Yikes, I just looked at the time, I'd better go!

cottage - I should go fix a cup of tea. I haven't had any caffeine yet this morning but I'm doing pretty well. My pager didn't go off last night after 9 so I didn't get woken up which is helping.

cat - That's great that you felt your hip bone. Have fun making name tags.

Kiko - My DH would be lost without a TV. I actually wish we watched less but he is always taping stuff on the DVD recorders and VCRs (yes, multiple!). I honestly feel that if I could take away his TV and recording devices, he might get a job. Oh, well, I'm not going to get started on that. I do know that it did help to entertain Brian when he was younger so I could do things like fix dinner. Last night we spent the evening on the Food network. They showed stuff that kids could fix and he enjoyed watching that.

little chick - I miss seeing the geese from when I lived in Michigan but I don't miss their mess.

Ruth - You are always so busy! I wish I was talented with flowers but I'm not. I love your stories about Lucy. She's quite a character!

Me - I'm working from home today since I have to pick up Terri at 6:15 to head down to the council offices for the day camp meeting. I hope we get a good theme. We still don't have the letter from school from Brian's teacher but we should have it soon since I heard the school supply sale is Friday afternoon.

Last night we had the turkey meatballs wrapped in lettuce leaves. Brian requested it and it's phase 1 so I was glad to comply. It is easy and good (comes from the Taste of Summer cookbook).

Happy Tuesday morning, chickies!

Cottage: Sounds like another gloomy day inside for you and the girls. I'm sure you'll have something fun to do. I do want to catch an episode of Fat March. I've been so busy with everything lately that I haven't had a chance. Is it good?

cat: Congrats on feeling your hip bone! That's one NSV I'm really looking forward to!

Kiko: Awww, I'm sad about your tv. Hope DH's withdrawals aren't too bad. It's amazing that it lasted 15 years, though. Congrats on getting back to your ticker weight!

LC: Cleaning up the playrooms actually sounds like a fun job - hope you enjoy it!

Ruth: What a funny story about Lucy! I'll def have to share that with DH! Sending you good vibes for that ticker movement!

Kier: Congrats on that big walk and on the weight loss. I look forward to seeing your ticker change!

Barb: That dinner last night sounds like it was yummy. I'll have to go to Amazon and see if I can get the book. Hope Brian's letter comes in soon. My coworkers are all freaking out because their kids' teachers haven't been posted yet and they start school on Monday!!

ME: Goodness gracious, I love P1! Down 3 lbs since yesterday and I feel great. It makes a HUGE difference for me to wake up and make breakfast. DH really loves it!

Today is more house cleaning to recover from the last week. I hope to get the two back bedrooms done after dinner and workout tonight. Then I'll just have the bathroom after my training session tomorrow. I also have a TON of ironing to do and a lot of stacked up paperwork to sort, but I'll get to it.

I was going to crochet last night - I'm half done on my afghan and got some chunky yarn in the mail and was going to crochet a scarf. I went to get my yarn bag and realized I left my crochet hook in my sister's car! Not good. I'll have to get online and order some new ones this evening. What a bummer.

Well, work to be done, ladies. Hope you all have a great day! Here's some for all of us!

~Kim

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been around. Geez. This "vacation" is flying by far too quickly.

I woke up yesterday and had a sharp pain in my gut, then was nauseous all day and had a fever most of the day, and then a headache that no amount of tylenol would take away. I had a hard time sleeping because of it, and got up today and I still have it. At least I'm not nauseous or feverish today.

So not much decluttering got done yesterday, but I got 1 bedroom done. Today I'm working on washing all the clothes that were stored at the MIL's house (she's a smoker and they all stink to high heaven) and I'm marking all the things that came out of the 1st bedroom.

Better get started on Bedroom #2. Only two more days to get all this done after today, and I have to run to my store and make the schedule, run to the bank, and spend the evening with the dogs since my folks are in Alaska and Ryan is going to a Cardinals game. (Why? I have no idea. Maybe to take joy in watching them lose. I don't know.)

Hope you all are having a great day!

Good evening everyone!
Today has been exhausting. Cottage, I feel the same as you -- school has to start soon!! We stayed in all day today, and I don't even remember what we did. Something with paint, at some point...tomorrow is supposed to be beautiful so I want to think of a good activity for them. It's just hard bc they're all different ages...2, 4 and 6.
Ruth -- What kind of pup is Lucy? She sounds like a riot.
Cat -- What are your multiple jobs? I got the teacher part...
Kiko -- funny about the TV. But it sounds like you're getting your share of drama from your girls? Just have them re-enact their day!
LChick -- hope you get to feeling better so you can get your projects done!!
Kier -- Where from in Jerz? I'm from South Orange...up north...Jersey born and bred, Rutgers University, even!
Barb -- is this boy scouts you're so involved in? Good for you!
Kim -- good luck getting everything done! And thanks for that willpower dust. I need it (currently talking myself out of going for a jog...)
Lisa -- Sounds like you're having a tough morning. Hope it got better for you!!

Have a great evening everyone!

slisette - I have a son going into 5th grade so he is in the Cub Scouts. I'm the assistant den leader for his Webelos den, pack committee secretary and webmaster for the Cub Scout pack. I'm also on the Cub Scout district Roundtable staff and the district committee. I teach Cub Scout leadership training and serve as camp director for the Cub Scout Twilight Camp in the summer. I have also staffed one Wood Badge training this past Spring and will be serving as the scribe on the fall of 2008 Wood Badge. Wood Badge is a council activities that encompasses Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturing and sometimes Varsity Scouts. Once Brian moves up to Boy Scouts I will probably move most of my activities from Cub to Boy Scouts except for running the Twilight Camp.
