Default Phase 2 Cereal help

I'm getting ready to start phase 2 and need some cereal crunch....I am thinking cereal and eggs alternating breakfast each morning. Or can anyone suggest a good cereal other than oatmeal.

can anyone tell me if these are ok
Kashi GoLean Crunch
Fiber One Honey Clusters

Also I plan to start having wine again, a glass of red with dinner, is this ok in Phase 2 and what should I be careful of....

Hi, Beachzilla, and to the Beach!

Both the cereals you mentioned in your post are not SB friendly, because of their high sugar content, unfortunately. But there are many other cereals out there that you can have that will provide the crunch you're desiring. Here is a link from our FAQ section that will give you the guidelines to finding a cereal -

I hope that helps. My favorites are Kashi Go Lean and Fiber One, I mix them together and sprinkle it on my morning yogurt.

I haven't tried the SBD ones. Kashi GoLean is okay, but the GoLean Crunch has too much sugar. One of my favorite breakfasts pre SBD was cereal and milk, but I find now it doesn't quite do the trick. I had the Kashi GoLean this morning with milk and half a banana cut up, and I was really hungry an hour later. I think I will stick with eggs, the oatmeal pancake, peanut butter toast, Nessa bars, and oatmeal. They are all really hardy, and I'm discovering if I have a really good breakfast it sets me up for the rest of the day.

This is Nessa's recipe:

I just got finished making a batch myself. I used all banana and added a little pumpkin spice, a little vanilla and some toasted almonds. It is such a great recipe and so versitile!

I love Nessa's bars, make them every week and change up some of the added ingredients to mix it up.

I have foun shredded wheat to have little added sugar - check each type specifically. In fact that is what I just ate. I believe inthe organic sections there are low sugar cereals to try.

I do have to agree though that it does not fill me up like it used to, but I still love cereal. Some mornings I will have half a serving (yes, I measure it) with either one of the egg quiche cups in the book or half an apple with peanut butter - I get my cereal, but I also get more filling protien and am satisfied longer.

I tried the SBD shredded wheat with cinnamon and really like it. It should be at the local supermarket.
