Default Weight training journal

I've always used the Ultimate Workout Log in the past to keep track of my workouts - and especially if I had a weight loss and fitness goal. I found another one that I don't really like so I was on amazon.com researching others too. I like pen and paper, well I thought I did, but since I discovered fitday I've been tracking my nutrition and cardio there. But what does everyone do with weight training, fitday doesn't have a section for that but I suppose one could just type it in the daily journal there.

I have this giant spiral notebook that houses the workouts that I take from Jillian Micheals's Winning by Losing, diet information and other things that I don't want to forget about. I have measurements, logs of protien carbs and fats from a couple of months . There is a list of DVDS and the lengths so that I can record that in Fitday. This spiral has pockets-which I often keep the printed stuff I find on the internet. It's by no means organized- just a place to stash my stuff and keep my pencil.
It's pencil and paper- because I end up erasing stuff and adding stuff as I go to my workouts.

Sirak, are you doing Jillian's program, or just using the logs?

Horsey, I like online programs for everything but lifting weights. For that, my favorite method is the generic card they have at the gym. I found my old one in my gym bag from my 'power lifting' days (not really, but I trained like one), pre-herniated disc. Memories!! But anyway - I discovered recently it is really nice to have it right there in front of me. I think it motivates me to do a little more when I see it all there rather than going back home and typing it in.

I discovered this when I would go to work out when tired, and realize when I got home that I had underestimated my last session, and then didn't get in as good of a workout as the previous time. It only took a couple of times to realize that was the problem, and that logging it in live in person was more effective.

I'm one of "Jillian's Girls" and have the new book waiting in the wings for when I get the remaining 6 weeks completed. Her workouts are set up in two weeks sections. I tried using excel to format a worksheet-but the spiral notebook won out.

I use a little spiral notebook which I keep in my locker at the gym and cart around with me while I'm working out. I like it because I can never remember how much I've been lifting for a certain exercise, or how long its been since I last upped the weight.

I have taken different exercises, mostly based on BFL and taped a single one on cardstock (8 1/2 x 5 1/2) cards. Each day, I sort out the cards that I will use on that day and then pencil in the date, wts, and reps I completed. I keep them sorted by Upper and Lower body, ab and cardio work. Before I work out, I sort the cards by what I am planning to do, I can see the last WO and see the weights. I have made the notes in pencil so I will be able to erase the old marks and make new ones. I also tape tips and hints to the backs of the cards that show good form.

I use a smallish spiral notebook that I write (on separate pages) my UBWO and LBWO, then rule off squares for the dates. I write down the weight I used, reps/sets. I can get 8-10 on a page, and usually when I've done the routine that many times, I'm ready to change it up anyway.
