Default My skinny legs...

I was griping that I'm top heavy, but since I've been working out the past few months my legs have gotten skinnier actually - I've lost about 7 lbs but I think I gained muscle in my upper body. Guess I'm going to have to really lift HARD in my lower body - I've been doing 8-12 lbs both upper and lower but I'll try increasing to 15 lower body, is that right? And less reps, then more reps in the upper body.

I read somewhere once that you lose weight in the reverse of how you gained it, so I gained in my legs and hips last and my upper body - of course - first and more. So I'm losing the fat in my legs and a little elsewhere. At least I'm losing though. I also read that those who gain in the stomach and upper body should do the low carb diets. I've been reading they are out of fashion but it might be something I have to do, I've been still eating whole wheat bread and more then usual even following some of the latest articles.

And I bought a bicycle that I'm thinking will build up my legs, does it work for calves? And I'll have to find hills I suppose to build up my legs right? Or hiking, best shape my legs were in was back in college when I went to school at a mountainous campus in California. My calves were so toned and nice. Of course I was 18 and in my prime bikini shape. I'm not going to snap back to that at 39 I realize but I think I might get the legs back at least - and somehow get rid of this rediculous stomach and upper body FAT.

Any other ideas on legs
