I've been around the boards for a little while, but decided to come out of lurkdom. My name is Shannon, I'm 23. I've been on my weight loss journey since January, with a program called First Place. I love to run (when it's cooler out!) and do step aerobics. I've been married for 5 years with no kids yet, but 2 fun dogs.
This is such a great group of people, I look forward to being here more often!
Shannon, I'm not too familiar with your program. Why don't you tell us a little bit about it? I always enjoy hearing about different plans. From the looks of your stats you're doing quite well. Congratulations on your weightloss.
Anyway, I'm glad you're here. This is a phenomenal place for advice, support and encouragement. I wish you the best of luck on your journey and look forward to hearing about your continued progress.
Robin, First Place is quite a bit like WW in that I count exchanges (which function much like points.) It's a Christian program with focus on the total person, Physical, Mental, Spiritual and Emotional. There's a daily Bible Study (which I love, love, love) and weekly meetings for accountability. Each week in class we sign an exercise commitment - at least 30 minutes per day 5 days per week. I journal everything I eat and all my exercise, etc. on my Commitment Record, a very handy little tri-fold broken into days, meals and snacks.
