Confessing my sins and back with a vengance...

  • Ok, well its not really that bad hahaha.... well as many of you know my posts have been diminished to updates over the past few months while my job got settled....so here I am...woman roaring... I'm 2 months deep in my promotion, through the weeds, my assistant is starting tomorrow and I'm really just at the point where I can dig my heels in and really start having fun with the job...Through all of the issues, stress etc I managed to (though not gracefully) maintain my weight loss... until now. Things started to slow down just over a week ago and when they slowed down I fell off track. I've packed on about 5lbs since then which may not sound like a lot but 5 turns to 10 turns into right back where I started quickly so it ends here...especially since I can feel it....being more in tune with my body now than I was at 240lbs I can feel the difference that a couple of pounds adds...I feel bloated and tired and since I haven't been working out my body feels rusty...boooo.

It's really not brain surgery... I know what has happened...my job slowed back down and I slowed right along with it, i haven't been eating well (ok sort of like a pasta free for all) and I haven't been working out, unless you count exercising the hand to mouth motion while watching tv.

So here I am. Back with a vengeance! As we speak I'm steaming some fresh veggies and grilling up some chicken for the week, I've tossed out any 'crap' that has accumulated in my kitchen over the past couple of weeks...I've put out the egg whites for breakfast and topped off the brita. Tonight its early to bed and tomorrow morning its time to 'walk of shame' my butt right back to the gym bright and early...start my day right, no excuses!

I'm looking forward to enjoying the rest of the summer now working towards my weight loss goal again...I've succeeded professionally now its time to get back to succeeding personally! From here its straight to fitday to get tomorrow all planned. With work slower until September I look forward to catching up with all I've missed with you wonderful ladies here!
  • Welcome back.....
  • Welcome back Sun!
  • Welcome back!
  • It's good to hear from you Sunshine. You were missed. I'm glad to hear you haven't fallen too far off the track and are ready to hop back on. Good for you for nipping it in the bud before it gets too out of hand.

Good luck. It sounds like you're really ready to head back in the right direction.
  • Welcome back!!!
  • So good to hear from you again!! Glad you're back!
  • I've missed you! Sounds like you have everything planned out and are ready to get right back on track. You can do this!
  • YAY, so many friendly faces! I've been around on the occasional lurk...and I've thankfully only been off track for the past couple of weeks...I seem to have taken the slow down at work as a green light to slow down everywhere else...haha, what was i thinking. Anyway today I'm more than back on track, I weighed in this morning and its a solid 5lbs that was gained so I'm starting by nipping that in the bud before it goes any further...Food is going well and on plan and I made my 5am date with the gym and had a good solid workout before work. Its nice out in Boston (though hot...heat wave approaching) but that means I'm not condemned to the train at least and I can walk to north station for my commuter train...which is a nice 15 minute walk to get in too
    woot
