Default 1-2 pounds a week?

How many people actually lose 1-2 pounds a week consistantly? Would you share with us your history of weight loss with LAWL? I've just started and my first WI only down 0.2....I hope it gets better!

It will.. Sometimes, depending on your plan/body structure/TOM/and the way the wind blows, we either lose more or less.. Most people see some immediate affect.. Some see a lot, some less... You have to be patient and stick to the plan.. Re-evaluate what you've eaten and when you ate it.. It takes a while to get into the groove of the diet..

When I understood that the diet was heavily into protein, I went out and bought bacon and sausage.. Imagine my horror when they told me that both are strictly forbidden..

Don't freak out.. It will happen!

During my 20 weight loss weeks, I averaged 1.6 lbs per week. There were weeks I lost more than that, weeks I lost less than that, and weeks I remained the same or went up a tad. My first week, I lost less than I anticipated because Fast Forward, um, stopped me up a bit. Don't lose heart!! Just keep staying on plan, and the weight will come off! Also, if you want to see my weight loss history, you can click on my ticker, and it will take you to a page with a nice graph. Anyone who uses ticker factory for their tickers will have the same.

I was told that they look at what you did for one week gain, lose stay the same.
I went up 1lb so far this week first time since i started 3 weeks ago. I was not happy but i found were I went wrong and its my own fault. I used a sub bun as a hot dog and it counted as more starch then I was to get in a day. instead of 2 starches I used 4! I did that 2xs and they were not lite buns either.
So I kicked myself in the rear for not thinking of that. Back to the drawing board and I am working on getting that off this week plus some extra.

I guess the good thing is I know were i went wrong and now I will make sure I think about that. funny it was not the hot dog but the stupid bun I ate, i was worried at the size of it and its the bun that I should of thought of all along.

You will have your ups and downs, like I am. Last week one day I went in and was the same the next time I went in i was down 2lbs. the time of day also plays a part. just stick to the plan and your should be ok.

Hang in there Carrie, it will come off. I know how frustrating it can be. I also do not lose weight very quickly. I lost about 10 lbs the first month, then I stalled out for about three weeks losing nothing, then it has been just 2 or 3 lbs a month. On average though, I have lost about 5 pounds per month. It seems like the scale just kind of holds, and then all of a sudden I see a drop.

It drives you crazy, but you just have to hang in there and keep plugging away. I know its easier said than done - (and I say this as much for my own benefit as yours) but try not to dwell on the scale. Maybe you are losing inches, but its not showing on the scale yet. Go by how you are feeling, how your clothes fit. Sometimes that is a better gauge and it doesn't drive you so crazy.

There is a girl on here, I can't recall her name right now, but she has lost 16 or 18 pounds, but dropped 4 sizes I think it was, and 20 some inches if I remember correctly.

Stay Strong and Good Luck

Carrie -- I think you'll see the bigger drops as you adjust to the program. Just remember to write down everything, and include as much detail as possible in your diary. That's how the COD will be able to best make suggestions for changes that might give you bigger losses.

Also, feel free to jump in on the daily menu thread here, and post your meal plans if you'd like us to make suggestions for you. That was a big help to me in the beginning when Cassi gave me some tips.

Carrie-hang in there! It will definitely come off if you are flawlessly on plan. Also, make sure you are weighing in around the same time of day. It can make a huge difference!

Thanks everyone....today I was down 1.8, reaching my 2 pounds this week. I just hope it will continue. I have to be out of town for a couple of days which is never easy when you have to eat out a lot and then a wedding to go to when I get home Saturday. Wish me luck.....I'm going to try really hard to stay on program.

yay! so glad to hear those first two pounds came off! My first official day on plan was the same day as a friends wedding and I managed to stay POP bc I was so motivated! My COD reccommended pre-planning in my diary, starting with dinner where we left a lot open bc I wasn't sure what I would be eating- that made it more managable once I was there! I will be out of town all of next week and am so scared I'm going to gain everything back--eating out is so hard- but there's always something we can eat if we get creative and don't give in! Good luck!

Good job! See, it will come off. You will have weird weeks when you lose a ton, and others where you don't lose, or even gain a teeny bit. Slow and steady wins the race though.
